It is common that people more or less has "extreme re-listening" in life.Although people no longer feel fresh after listening to a song they like repeatedly,they will continue to listen to it.As one of the patients with "extreme re-listening",the author explores the repeated listening behaviors by collecting and sorting the participants'favorite songs they listened recently.Through the reading and analysis of existing domestic and foreign literature,the author found that there are relatively few studies on repeated listening behaviors and the content is relatively one-sided.Therefore,this thesis attempts to explore the impact of repeated listening behaviors on emotions of non-music majors in China.Some college students in Wuhan were selected as the research object.With a qualitative and quantitative research paradigm,this thesis shows the related literature to this study.Use in-depth discussions on this research content.There are 169 valid sample data by collecting survey questionnaires.Hypothesis was put forward in the early stage of the study,and then the data was analyzed by SPSS statistical software to verify whether the hypothesis was established,and the research conclusion was reached.This thesis investigates the songs that the college students repeatably listened recently.These college students who are not music majors also answered some related questions about the effect of these music on their emotional changes,emotional regulating and memories.The results show as follows.1.Participants with different genders have differences in the frequency of repeated listening and the use of music to regulate their emotions.Women are more dependent on the repeated listening behaviors than men and can get more comfort by music.2.The emotional changes caused by repeated listening behaviors are affected by the objective factors of music,such as melody,lyrics and other factors that can evoke people's memories.3.Repeatedly listening to the music will increase memory,and the mind will automatically remember the piece of music.4.Different music styles have a certain effect on regulating emotions,and pop music,classical music and other styles have an impact on the audience's positive emotions.
