The research object of this paper is the concept of Mediation(Vermittlung)in Hegelian philosophy;specifically,it studies the basis and process of its generation in the latter. The first chapter first presents the daily meaning of the verb "vermitteln" in the German, pointing out that the word describes in the daily experience a whole three-dimensional structure governed by a specific purpose; What is shown next is the similarities and uniqueness of Hegel's mediation compared to the experience of daily life. The similarities include: Hegel's own understanding of the concept is also a whole dominated by a specific purpose, and the mediator as the subject also plays an active role in promoting contact and easing tension in the course of action.Hegel's special understanding of mediation is that he does not understand it as ordinary third parties through conceptual thinking, but as the subject's movement, and confirms negation as the final basis of mediation from the perspective of ontology. The second chapter presents the theoretical intention or genaration process of the "mediation" in Hegel's philosophy. The process turns Hegel's attitude toward confrontation into a clue, and in the relationship with Kant's ethics,it appears to us as the following three steps: First, accepting the opposition directly;at this time,Hegel's thought is characterized by accepting Kant's ethic known as Dualistism;secondly, rebellion against opposition,at this time Hegel began to use the the concepts like life and being and so on as the theoretical starting point and basis, and thus criticized the dual division of Kant's ethics;third, the re-admission of the opposition at a higher level. The process first shows that in Hegel's philosophy the formation of the concept mediation is closely related to the split-opposing dilemma in modern philosophy, and secondly shows Hegel's unique way of overcoming the solution to the contradiction: he does not understand mediation as an external third party as usual, but as a whole developmentprocess of the subject movement,so that the opposition is relativized in this whole, which is in the development shown as two different moments, and thus the opposites are no longer opposites in the whole, and in this way the opposites are reconciled.
