The history of U.S.sanctions against Iran can be traced back to the 1979 Iranian Hostage crisis. After that, each government imposed economic sanctions on Iran.Today, the U.S.sanctions against Iran have lasted for nearly 40 years. The United States launched several rounds of economic sanctions before and after Iran's unilateral sanctions and multilateral sanctions through three means: financial sanctions, trade sanctions, and asset freezes. The scope of sanctions imposed by the United States for many years involved a number of economic areas centered on the lifeline of Iran's national economy—oil exports.Looking at the history of U.S.sanctions against Iran,we can see that U.S.sanctions on Iran have progressed from small-scale sanctions at the very beginning to more extensive sanctions against the entire economy and financial sector today. And from the previous unilateral sanctions based on the United States to today's historical evolution with multilateral sanctions. In the face of continuous economic sanctions imposed by the United States for many years,Iran has never said that it has yielded, but has taken various measures to defuse, circumvent, and reduce the impact of economic sanctions on its own country.Although the six Iranian and Iranian nuclear issues in 2015 signed the "Joint Comprehensive Action Plan" on solving the Iranian nuclear issue in Geneva,I believe that this is just a flexible diplomatic tactic taken by Iran under the pressure of sanctions. It is not Iran's fundamental change in its US diplomatic strategy. In the process of responding to US nuclear sanctions, successive Iranian governments have adopted various tactics to evade, offset,or mitigate the impact of U.S.sanctions imposed on the Iranian economy from both internal and diplomatic perspectives, making the U.S.sanctions difficult to work.Iran's response to internal affairs includes economic reforms, vigorous promotion of civil nuclear programs, and enhancement of military strength;Diplomacy includes a variety of coping strategies, such as dividing the US sanctions alliance, seeking oil exports and substitute countries for imported goods, advocating the concept of peaceful use of nuclear energy in the country, building a comprehensive diplomatic structure, and enhancing diplomatic influence.Today, the U.S.economic sanctions against Iran have not reached the goal of subverting the Iranian regime or destroying the Iranian economy. While Iran can maintain the stability of the regime under the pressure of US sanctions, its measures to deal with U.S.sanctions are very important.Iran's successful response to U.S.sanctions has caused Iran not to have the results that the United States expects. It is foreseeable that the sanctions will remain one of the main manifestations of the exchanges between the two countries before the fundamental changes in the relations between Iran and the United States. As Iran continues to mature its sanctions system and mechanism, the U.S.sanctions against Iran will only become increasingly pale.Against the background of the ever-increasing economic globalization,it is only in the interests of both sides that the two countries can only reconcile themselves and reconcile themselves.Reconciliation is even more important for the Iranian side in the process of modernization.
