ObjectiveDeveloped an evaluation scale for syndrome of intense fire and heat(shi-re-huo-du),and objectively quantified the tongue color to provide an evaluation standard for the clinical efficacy evaluation of fiery fever syndrome and the development of new syndrome drugs.Methods1.Development of the evaluation scale of syndrome of intense fire and heat(shi-re-huo-du): According to the collection of the previous syndrome entry pool of syndrome of intense fire and heat and the results of clinical pre-investigation,the discrete degree method,frequency distribution method,factor analysis method,and Cronbach coefficient method four statistical methods were used to objectively screen item entries to build a syndrome of intense fire and heat evaluation scale item pool.Two rounds of Delphi expert consultations were used to conduct evaluation scale item screening.An expert consensus was held to reach a consensus on the scale items.Analytic hierarchy process was used.The items in the scale are empowered to form a syndrome of intense fire and heat(shi-re-huo-du)evaluation scale.2.Reliability and validity evaluation of syndrome of intense fire and heat(shi-re-huo-du)evaluation scale: Apply the syndrome of intense fire and heat(shi-re-huo-du)evaluation scale to clinical investigation,and the scale’s recovery rate,completion rate and completion time perform feasibility analysis,evaluate its reliability through internal consistency reliability,retest reliability,split-half reliability,and scorer reliability,and correlate coefficients between items and total score,exploratory factor analysis,and calibration correlation validity evaluates its validity.3.Quantitative research on the degree of red tongue and yellow moss in the scale entries:Aiming at the problem of objective quantification of tongue color entries,by collecting a large sample of tongue image information and using colorimetric knowledge,select red tongue and yellow moss in RGB,Lab,HSV three commonly used color spaces for tongue color quantification and two-dimensional chromaticity planes with good discrimination in each color space.Adaboost,KNN,Lasso,PLSR,SVM,and random forest are used for tongueclassification.Quantitative research on the degree of red and yellow moss,looking for the combination of color space and algorithm with the best classification accuracy under the three color spaces,and rationally quantifying the degree of red tongue and yellow moss,in order to increase the reliability of the scale assessment and be more objective to evaluate the clinical efficacy of patients with fiery fever.Results1.Developed a 10-item evaluation scale of syndrome of intense fire and heat(shi-re-huo-du),including facial red eyes,redness,swelling and pain,sore throat,mouth and nose air fever,sore tongue,yellow urine,and constipation Knot,red tongue,yellow moss,dry moss.2.The reliability and validity assessment of the Fiery Blazing Scale was completed.Reliability analysis shows that the overall Cronbach’s α coefficient of the scale is 0.726,the split-half reliability is 0.732,and the correlation coefficient of the total score of the two measurements is 0.898.Reliability is good.Validity analysis shows that the correlation coefficient between the entry and the total score is 0.194-0.780.The factor analysis extracts a total of 3 common factors,and the cumulative contribution rate is 63.806%.The entry composition of the factors is slightly different from the set theoretical framework.The 36 scale is the calibration standard,and the correlation coefficients in the dimensions of emotional role,social function,vitality,and mental health are-0.304,-0.340,-0.433,and-0.469,respectively.Standard correlation validity.3.A quantitative classification of the degree of red tongue and yellow moss based on color space was established.After examining three color spaces of RGB,Lab,and HSV and seven 2-dimensional chromaticity planes with good discrimination in each color space,six commonly used machines: Adaboost,KNN,Lasso,PLSR,SVM,and Random Forest Learning the algorithm,through the optimal color space and algorithm combination,achieved a classification accuracy of 92.5% for red tongue and 85.71% for yellow fur.ConclusionThe syndrome of intense fire and heat(shi-re-huo-du)evaluation scale developed by the research and development has passed the evaluation and has good reliability and validity,which can be used as an evaluation standard for the syndrome of intense fire and heat.Established a comprehensive evaluation method for the quantification of tongue color in different color spaces and classifiers,realized the classification and recognition of the degree of red tongue and yellow moss,and achieved a high accuracy rate,which provided a reference for the subsequent quantification of tongue color.
