Objective: The short-term clinical effect of percutaneous intervertebral foramen approach endoscopic nerve root canal decompression in the treatment of lumbar spinal stenosis and the related factors affecting the curative effect. Methods: A total of 109 patients with single segmental lumbar spinal stenosis with complete follow-up records from July 2017 to January 2019 were treated with percutaneous intervertebral foramen approach endoscopic nerve root canal decompression.Oswestry dysfunction index(ODI)and pain visual analogue score(VAS)were used to evaluate the surgical effect.Eight indexes that may affect the curative effect. Results: All 109 patients were followed up,including 65 males and 44 females, the o Peration time was 65-183 min(mean 72 min),and the hospital stay was 2-7 days(mean 3.4days).The postoperative VAS and ODI scores of the patients were significantly improved compared with those before operation, and the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05.According to the ODI dysfunction index, the improvement of lumbar function was evaluated, the statistical excellent and good rate was 83.50%,and the effective rate was94.50%.Univariate analysis showed that sex, age, distance of claudication, segment of spinal canal stenosis and Modic degeneration of endplate had no significant correlation with the curative effect of operation, but the course of disease, sagittal diameter of lateral recess and ODI score before operation were related to the curative effect of operation. The results of multivariate Logistic regression showed that there was a significant positive correlation between preoperative ODI,course of disease and postoperative curative effect, and it was anindependent risk factor for poor postoperative curative effect(P<0.05),that is,the higher the preoperative ODI score and the longer the course of disease, the higher the probability of postoperative curative effect. Conclusion: Percutaneous intervertebral foramen approach endoscopic nerve root canal decompression has a good short-term effect in the treatment of lumbar spinal stenosis. The course of disease,Preoperative ODI score and sagittal diameter of lateral recess were related factors affecting the curative effect of operation, among which the course of disease and preoperative ODI score were independent risk factors.
