Talent is the primary productive force. How to motivate people effectively is crucial to an organization.Public hospitals should attach importance to the incentive of medical staff and attract and retain them through reasonable salary distribution. At present,China’s public hospitals still use the inherent incentive mechanism, which fails to play a good incentive role.As the public hospital take the institution wage system as the basic standard of salary, the salary gap between personnel with the same professional title is small, which cannot truly reflect the differences in personnel ability and level. As the performance appraisal system is not reasonable, the performance salary cannot fully reflect the actual working ability of employees.Hospital managers should make corresponding standards according to the position, medical ethics, patient satisfaction, workload and other factors. As the salary system of public hospitals is formulated according to the unified national standard and the salary mode is single, the labor paid by medical staff is not in direct proportion to the income, which leads to the decrease of the enthusiasm of medical staff. The author takes the second people’s hospital of Huadu,Guangzhou as an example,to found out the problems in the current incentive mechanism.Based on the new medical reform and the reasons for the incentive problems of medical staff, the author find out the countermeasures of medical staff incentive in Guangzhou public hospitals. The countermeasures can stimulate the potential of medical staff and improve the enthusiasm of medical staff. It provides reference for Guangzhou public hospitals to attract and retain talents. At the same time,it helps the hospital to improve the core competitiveness and the quality of service.
