Objective: To explore the relationship between the orifice of natural fistula and its direction and the choice of surgical method.Method: Clinical data of 159 patients with congenital preauricular fistula treated by operation in the first affiliated hospital of nanchang university from September 2013 to February 2019 were retrospectively analyzed.Analyze the direction of congenital preauricular fistula and to explore the selection of operative methods for different directions of congenital preauricular fistulas. Results: Among the 159 patients,125 of the natural fistula orifice was located in front of the crus helicis, the fistula was close to the cartilage of the crus helicis, and went down to the anterior notch of ear.In 31 cases, the orifice of natural fistula was located at the crus helicis, and the fistula mostly passed through the cartilage of the crus helicis to its deep surface. In 3 cases, the orifice of natural fistula was located in the external acoustic mestus, and the fistula was close to the tragus and went forward between the tragus cartilage and the cartilage of the crus helicis.157 cases of grade a wound healing after operation,Two cases were infected with wound wound healing after dressing change, and postoperative follow-up for 5 months to 5 years showed no recurrence. Conclusion: The position of natural fistula of congenital preauricular fistula is closely related to the direction of fistula.Preoperative prediction of the approximate direction of fistula can be conducted according to the position of preauricular fistula to guide surgical treatment,so as to achieve faster and complete removal of fistula tissue and reduce postoperative recurrence rate, which has certain clinical value.
