Objective:To compare the short-term effects of single-incision laparoscopic distal gastrectomy(SLDG)and conventional multi-port laparoscopic distal gastrectomy(MLDG)on gastric cancer patients. The impact of postoperative quality of life.Methods:Eighty-six patients with gastric cancer who underwent gastrointestinal surgery at the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University from August 2018 to June 2019 were randomly divided into SLDG group(42 cases)and MLDG group(44 cases),comparing the intraoperative and postoperative outcomes of the two groups, and using the quality of life questionnaire(QLQ-C30)developed by the European Cancer Research and Treatment Organization and the gastric cancer module quality of life questionnaire(QLQ-ST022)to assess the patient 1 week after surgery and 1 month of quality of life. Results:There were no significant differences in age,BMI,ECOG score, reconstruction pattern, number of lymph node dissection, postoperative pathology, and cultural background between the two groups. The operation time of the SLDG group was longer than that of the MLDG group[(207.14± 31.68)min VS(172.26± 28.95)min,P<0.05].However,the intraoperative blood loss was lower in the SLDG group than the MLDG group. The SLDG group had the first anal exhaust faster after the operation, and the drainage tube was indwelled. The operation time was shorter, postoperative hospital stay was shorter(P<0.05).There were 3(6.8%)complications in the MLDG group and 2(4.8%)complications in the SLDG group. There were no deaths during hospitalization in the two groups.Cases re-admitted within 30 days after discharge. In the SLDG group, the overall health status, physical function, role function, and social function scores of the QLQ-C30 scale were significantly higher than those of the MLDG group(P<0.05).Postoperative pain, fatigue, nausea and vomiting were more common than MLDG and the scores of the group were lower(P<0.05).At 1 month after operation, the differences in QLQ-C30 scores between the two groups were smaller than before, and the overall quality of life improved significantly compared with 1 week after surgery. However, there were still statistical differences in body appearance and anxiety(P<0.05).Conclusion:SLDG and MLDG have the same surgical results in the treatment of advanced gastric cancer, safe and feasible, and the overall quality of life of patients is higher. It has a good application prospect in laparoscopic gastric cancer surgery.
