Objective: To investigate the curative effect and influencing factors of ossification of ligamentum flavum(OLF)treated by percutaneous spinal endoscopy. Methods: Collect the clinical data of 32 patients with ossification of ligamentum flavum(OLF)treated by the author from June 2015 to May 2017 for retrospective analysis. To abserve, record and statistically analyze the time of operation, the amount of bleeding in the operation, the time of hospitalization, the visual analogue scale(VAS)score, and the Japan Orthopaedic Association(JOA)score.Result: Operation time was(101.04±29.36)min,intraoperative hemorrhage(24 ± 12.41)ML,hospitalization time(11.8 ± 5.18)D,The VAS score was reduced from pre-operative(7.89 ± 1.07)to 1 day(3.81±0.57)after surgery, and the 12-month follow-up(1.51±0.57)score was significantly lower than pre-operative(P <0.05),and pain relief was significant; The JOA score was increased from preoperative(12.63±1.31)to 1 day(17.81±1.18)after surgery, and the 12-month follow-up(25.63±1.31)score was significantly higher than preoperative(P < 0.05),and the JOA average improvement rate(79.85±6.32);There was significant difference between the JOA improvement rate in 12 months ’patients and the duration > 12 months’ patients(P< 0.05),and the JOA improvement rate in preoperative patients with JOA score ≤11 was significantly higher than that of the control group(P < 0.05).After 12 months,32 patients recovered: 22 excellent cases,6 good cases,4 general case, excellent rate of 87.50 %.The average improvement rate of JOA in the 12 months after surgery reached 79.85 %.The patients had significant improvement in early recovery, postoperative pain, spinal stability, muscle and ligament structure damage, postoperative nerve function and surgical complications, and achieved good clinical efficacy. Conclusion: percutaneous spinal endoscopy is effective for patients with ossification of ligamentum flavum(OLF)of the thoracic vertebrae. The operation wound is small, the bleeding in the operation is less, the postoperative recovery is fast, the complication is less.It is really a new and effective method of minimally invasive surgery that is worth exploring and researching in clinical medicine.
