| Objective: Study the expression of human epididymal protein 4(HE4)and kinesin 2A(KIF2A)in epithelial ovarian tumors and normal ovarian tissues, explore the relationship between their expression and related clinicopathological features,as well as the correlation between their expression. Methods: 121 cases of ovarian epithelial tumors with complete follow-up data were collected from the Affiliated Hospital of Qinghai University from July 2011 to September 2019.All the selected cases were stained with HE,and confirmed as ovarian epithelial tumors by two senior pathologists.None of the selected cases received any radiotherapy or chemotherapy before operation.Another 20 normal ovarian tissues were collected as the control group.Epithelial ovarian tumors were divided into three groups: benign group(40 cases),borderline group(41 cases)and malignant group(40 cases). The expression of HE4 and KIF2 A were observed by immunohistochemistry. Results: 1.The positive staining of HE4 was brown granules in cell membrane and cytoplasm, and that of KIF2 A was brown granules in cytoplasm and / or nucleus.2.In this study,in benign group, borderline group, malignant group and control group, the distribution of HE4 protein in different groups was significantly different(P<0.05).With the increase of malignant degree, the expression level of HE4 protein increased, and the difference between borderline group / malignant group and benign group / control group was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.In benign group, borderline group, malignant group and control group, the distribution of KIF2 A protein in different groups was significantly different(P<0.05).With the increase of malignant degree, the expression level of KIF2 A protein increased, and the difference between borderline group / malignant group and benign group / control group was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.There was significant difference between the expression level of HE4 protein and the clinical FIGO stage, whether there was intranodal metastasis, whether there was distant metastasis and whether there was single or bilateral disease(P<0.05).There was an upward trend(P<0.05).5.There was significant difference between the expression of KIF2 A protein and the clinical FIGO stage, whether there was intranodal metastasis, whether there was distant metastasis and whether there was single or bilateral disease(P<0.05).There was an upward trend(P<0.05).6.There was a positive correlation between the protein expression of HE4 and KIF2A(Gamma value = 0.947,P<0.001).Conclusion: 1.The expression level of HE4 and KIF2 A in ovarian borderline and malignant epithelial tumors is higher than that in normal ovarian tissues and benign ovarian epithelial tumors, suggesting that they may be involved in the progression of ovarian epithelial tumors.2.The expression of HE4 and KIF2 A protein in malignant ovarian epithelial tumor is related to FIGO stage, intranodal metastasis, distant metastasis and single or bilateral disease. The expression level of HE4 and KIF2 A protein in patients with high FIGO stage, intranodal metastasis, distant metastasis and bilateral disease is on the rise, suggesting that they are involved in the migration and metastasis of malignant ovarian epithelial tumor.3.The expression level of HE4 and KIF2 A protein is positively correlated in malignant ovarian epithelial tumors, suggesting that they may participate in the progression, migration and metastasis of malignant ovarian epithelial tumors by regulating the same molecular signal pathway. |
