Purpose:This study used rat to simulate patients in high altitude environment with traumatic brain injury,to discussion the variations in Tumor necrosis factor-α(Tumor necrosis factor α,TNF-α)in different altitudes and the different time points after traumatic brain injury in rats brain tissue.Find the change rule of cerebral edema peak after traumatic brain injury in high altitude environment to guide and help medical workers to determine the early clinical intervention. Methods:This experiment reference Feeney,Marmarou and others in the rat brain injury model, using hypobaric oxygen chamber make an altitude of 4500 m plateau,60 SD male rats(adult and health)were randomly divided into two groups at an altitude of 2200 m and an altitude of 4500 m,According to the molding day(1st,3rd,5th,7th and 14 th day),We divided into five subgroups randomly, each subgroup have five rats. The remaining 5 random rats were the control group at each time node(operated but not attacked).ELASA kit was used to detect the TNF-α protein content in the tissues surrounding the damaged brain tissues of rats in each group.Use statistical methods to analyze and draw conclusions. Results:Under the environment of plateau at an elevation of 4500 m brain injury group TNF-α is higher than the altitude of 2200 m group in same time node after molding(P < 0.05).the 14 th day after molding group simulated high altitude(4500 m)content of brain tissue surrounding the TNF-α level is still not back to the same altitude control group(P < 0.05).Conclusion:At the same time point after brain injury modeling, the expression of TNF-α protein in the damaged brain tissue in rats from the high-altitude area(4500m)is higher than the low-altitude area(2200m).The local inflammatory response to brain injury in rats was aggravated by the plateau environment, and the local inflammatory response subsided slowly.
