Objective:To summarize the diagnostic methods and surgical experience of congenital double aortic arch and to analyze the reasons of misdiagnosis,to improve the level of the diagnosis. Methods:The clinic data of 24 cases with double aortic arch from January 2008 to January 2018 in our hospital was analyzed retrospectively. There were 14 males and 10 females, aged from 29 days to 4 years old(11 months 21 days±13months 6 days),median age 8months 4 days;weight from 3.5 to 20.0(8.13±4.36)kg,median 6.75 kg.Including 12 simple DAA who all underwent surgical correction of congenital vascular ring.12 patients accompanied cardiac malformations including VSD,ASD,PDA,TOF,TGA.7 patients treated intracardiac malformations during the same period.3 patients were just received double aortic arch correction.1 patient with TGA,underwent surgical correction of congenital vascular ring at the first time, and accomplished the arterial switch operation at the second time.Results:23 patients were treated actively after surgery. They wereevacuated from the ventilator and discharged successfully. The follow-up time ranged from 1 month to 92 months(35.72±30.96 months).1 patient was discharged from hospital due to abandonment of surgery. Conclusion:The double aortic arch is a kind of disease that compresses the esophagus and trachea.Infants often have repeated respiratory infections and asthma attacks.Tracheal and esophageal compressions are relieved certainly after the operation.Patients underwent surgical correction of double aortic arch, concomitant heart deformity correction surgery according to the situation.Echocardiography has misdiagnosis, chest CT and three-dimensional airway reconstruction combined with echocardiography can diagnose it and its combined cardiovascular malformations exactly.
