Objective: The medical staff in psychiatric hospital was investigated in this study, and their risk awareness of drug use was investigated and analyzed in a comprehensive and systematic way.In order to offer reference for clinical medication safety,we established an active method for monitoring adverse drug events(ADEs)in psychiatric inpatients by using an improved comprehensive global trigger tool(GTT)in later work, which can evaluate the occurrence of ADEs and verify the feasibility of implementing GTT in psychiatric hospitals. Methods:The questionnaire and mobile end survey were implemented to measure cognition and attitude towards medication risksamong participants in 13 psychiatric institutions.Reliability and applicability of the scale were tested by using Cronbach’s α coefficient and KMO statistics. We carried out a retrospective analysis forallthat discharged patients meeting the criteria in 2017 by applying specified GTT method, which referred to ADE trigger tool of IHI mental health settings, combined with the initial entries of triggers listed in relevant articles and actual situation of drug use in our hospital.Excel(2007)and SPSS 22.0 software were used for data entry and statistical analysis. Results: The recovery rate of the questionnaire was 99.2%.97.54% of the respondents recognized the importance of medication risk management. Both prescription dispensing and transferringprocess have been seen higher selection rate, which accounting for 82% and 72.5%,respectively.Motor disorders and metabolic syndrome were the best known antipsychotic related ADEs(70.5% and 61.9%).The proportion of cognition on medication risk was relatively higher among other medical staff group and tertiary hospital group, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).The reliability of the scale was higher than 0.8,and the validity test P < 0.001.The positive trigger frequency of GTT was 57.5%,and the predictive value of trigger positive(PPV)was 17.91%.The detection rate of ADE by GTT was 11.79%,while the voluntary reporting rate of ADEs was 3.14% in the same year.Differences were statistically significant. Conclusions: The questionnaire was designed targeted, accurate and realistic. The results of the investigation fully reflected the degree of cognition and attitude of psychiatric medical workers on medication risks.GTT method has a positive effect on ADE monitoring and evaluation in psychiatric department, and some trigger items need to be improved. |
