| Objective:This study was to explore the difference between magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)and computed tomography(CT)in diagnosing culprit vessels and evaluating their blood perfusion in patients with ischemic stroke,as well as providing guidance for the selection of clinical imaging methodsMethods:The ischemic stroke patients who met the inclusion criteria underwent the examinations including Bravo T1WI,T2WI,FLAIR,DWI,3D-TOF-MRA,high resolution CUBE T1WI and pseudo continuous arterial spin labeling(pCASL)protocol(the delay time is between 1000ms and 3500ms,a total of 6 time intervals)as well as computed tomography angiography(CTA)and computed tomography perfusion(CTP).The stenosis degree of the culprit vessels were observed under 3D-TOF-MRA,CUBE T1WI and CTA in the stroke patients, and further analyzed by Wilcoxon test. The cerebral blood flow(CBF)and arterial transit time(ATT)obtained by the multi-delay pCASL,while cerebral blood flow, mean transit time(MTT)obtained by the CT perfusion.Based on the voxel level analysis,Pearson correlation coefficients were used to calculate the associations between the two modalities in grey, white matter and whole brain of each subject respectivelyResults:1.A total of 21 patients with ischemic stroke were collected.CUBE T1WI,3D-TOF-MRA and CTA manifested statistical different degrees of cerebral artery stenosis in 19 patients(P<0.05)2.In the 21 ischemic stroke patients, based on the voxel level analysis,ASL-CBF and CTP-CBF showed a positive correlation in gray matter, white matter and whole brain(all P<0.05),and the average Pearson correlation coefficients were 0.647,0.585 and 0.646,respectively.ASL-ATT and CTP-MTT showed a significant positive correlation in gray matter, white matter and whole brain(all P<0.05),and the average Pearson correlation coefficients were 0.787,0.706 and 0.799,respectivelyConclusion:1.3D-TOF-MRA,high-resolution CUBE T1WI and CTA can effectively detect culprit vessels, and can be used as diagnostic tools for finding the culprit vessels of ischemic stroke CUBE T1WI can not only assess the degree of arterial stenosis in multiple planes, but also observe the shape of the vessel wall to provide more imaging information for the clinic2.There is a correlation between perfusion parameters from multi-delay pCASL and CT perfusion imaging in patients with ischemic stroke.Multi-delay pCASL is radiation-free and non-invasive,which could replace CT perfusion to some extent. |
