Study On The Application Of Suture Anchor In The Patellar Inferior Pole Extra-articular Fracture

Objective: Contrast analysis of the clinical efficacy of the suture anchor and tension band wiring cannulated compression screws in the treatment of the patellar inferior pole extra-articular fractures,and to explore the application value of suture anchor in the patellar inferior pole extra-articular Fracture.Methods: 39 cases of infrapatellar fracture in orthopedic trauma medical group of our hospital from June 2017 to December 2018,The patients were treated by internal fixation with suture anchor and tension band wiring cannulated compression screws respectively.According to the different surgical methods,the patients were divided into two groups:suture anchor group(group AS)and tension band wiring cannulated compression screws group(group TBS),17 cases in group AS,11 males and 6 females,with an average age of 51±14.95 years.22 cases in group TBS,13 males and 9 females,with an average age of 49.59±13.70 years.The general information,operation time,postoperative complications,6weeks,3 months,6 months,1 year postoperative knee joint mobility,fracture healing time,and knee Bostman function score were compared andanalyzed between the two groups of patients.Results: Through follow-up and analysis,the average operation time in group AS was 61.59 ± 8.85 minutes,group TBS was 78 ± 10.11 minutes,P <0.05,the difference was statistically significant.There was no significant difference in knee mobility at all follow-up times,At the 6th month(group AS : 79.14±13.35°,group TBS:82.75±12.02°,P=0.381),And the 3rd month(group AS : 100.88±12.15°,group TBS :100.34±9.57°,P=0.876),And the 6th month(group AS:119.81±7.17°,group TBS : 117.35±9.75°,P=0.369),The 1st year(group AS : 128.87±3.23°,group TBS:129.02±2.51°,P=0.869).There was no significant difference of the knee Bostman function score at the 1st year(group AS): 28.59±1.42,excellent and good rate 100%,group TBS : 28.41±1.65,excellent and good rate 100%,P=0.723).In the follow-up of 6 months after operation,X-ray shows that all patient achieved clinical healing,and there were no complications such as internal fixation loosening or breakage,infection and pain in front of the knee joint.Conclusion: In the treatment of inferior patella fractures,the suture anchor is easier to operate than the tension band wiring cannulated compression screws,and can provide stable and effective fixation,allow early functional exercise,and obtain satisfactory clinical results,which is worthy of clinical promotion.
