Application Of Single Group Using Narrative Therapy In Relieving The Psychological Stress Of Patients With Advanced Cancer

Since the 1970 s,the incidence and mortality of cancer in China has been on the rise.At present,the incidence and mortality of cancer in China ranks first in the world,and more than 80% of cancer patients have been found to be advanced.Through the early needs assessment,the author found that patients with advanced cancer bear a heavy mental burden due to the pressure from individuals,families,life and society.In recent years,more and more social workers have been involved in the service of patients with advanced cancer,but from the perspective of "problems",they only focus on the problems and disadvantages of patients,so that strengthen the psychological stress of patients,which is not conducive to the fundamental change of patients.Using narrative therapy,from the perspective of advantages,help patients to deconstruct their problematic life style,to explore their potential in the process of rewriting life story,change their view of self life value,and achieve the purpose of relieving patients’ psychological stress from the source.Based on the work practice of three single groups using narrative therapy of social workers for patients with advanced cancer,this paper explores the role of single group using narrative therapy in relieving the psychological stress of patients with advanced cancer,and tries to explore the application strategies of single group using narrative therapy in the field of Chinese hospitals.The framework of this paper is divided into four parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly introduces the research background,research purpose and significance,research overview,research concept,theoretical basis,research ideas and research methods.The second part briefly introduces the source of the case,and analyzes the manifestation and source of the psychological stress of the patients with advanced cancer in the hospital.That is to say,it is mainly manifested in three aspects of physiology,emotion and behavior.The author analyzes the source of mental pressure from the aspects of individual,family,life and society.In the third part,according to the three main stages of the group,the initial preparation,the mid-term implementation and the final evaluation and summary,combined with the practice,this paper analyzes the specific work content of the three single group workers,the process of group development and the specific application of narrative therapy in the group.In the later stage,we used the group process record,effectiveness evaluation form and semi-structured interview results to evaluate the process and effectiveness of the group,and found that the goals of the three narrative therapy single group were basically achieved.The fourth part reflects on the narrative single group service,and puts forward relevant suggestions on the basis of this study.This paper discusses and analyzes the difficulties and Countermeasures in the recruitment of group members,analyzes the difficulties and suggestions in the application of narrative therapy in the single group from the three perspectives of group members,social workers and groups,and puts forward the differences between the single group and the traditional group,the rationality of the participation of the family members of the patients in the group,the role of social workers in the single group,and the involvement of multi-disciplinary cooperation team,etc.This part also reflects on the research,discusses the limitations of the research and the key points and directions for further study in the future.
