Objective: To evaluate the role of neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio(NLR),platelet distribution width(PDW),and platelet to lymphocyte ratio(PLR)in prostate cancer(PCa)and bone metastasis. Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed on 90 PCa patients and 112 patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH)selected from September 2016 to September 2019 in the department of urology of Hebei Provincial People’s Hospital.Statistical analysis of the correlation between NLR,PLR and PDW and the risk of PCa and its bone metastasis.ROC curve analysis was used to calculate the cutoff value, sensitivity and specificity of various indicators to predict PCa and its bone metastasis.Logistic regression analysis was used to screen the risk indicators of PCa and its bone metastasis. Results: 1.The NLR,PSA and PLR values of PCa group were significantly higher than those of BPH group(P < 0.05);PDW of PCa group was significantly lower than that of BPH group(P < 0.05).2.Logistic single factor analysis showed that NLR,PLR and PSA were risk factors for PCa,and PDW was a protective factor for PCa.while multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that PSA was an independent risk factor for PCa.3.By ROC curve analysis, the areas of ROC under the curve for PSA,PLR,NLR and PDW diagnosis of PCa were 0.961,0.618,0.748 and 0.660,with specificities of 0.848,0.902,0.830 and 0.511,and sensitivity of 0.978,0.344,0.600 and 0.768.4.PLR and NLR were significantly higher in the PCa with bone metastasis group than in the non-bone metastasis group, and the difference was statistically significant. There was no significant difference in PDW between the two groups.5.Logistic single factor analysis showed that NLR,PLR,PSA and Gleason scores were risk factors for PCa with bone metastasis, while multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that PLR and PSA were independent risk factors for PCa with bone metastasis.6.By ROC curve analysis, the areas of ROC under the curve for NLR,PLR,PSA and Gleason scores diagnosis of PCa with bone metastasis were 0.710,0.701,0.697 and0.635;with specificities of 0.885,0.708,0.400 and 0.769;sensitivity of 0.600,0.760,0.960 and 0.480 respectively.Conclusions:1.NLR and PLR are risk factors for PCa.The higher the value is,the higher the risk of PCa is.PSA is an independent risk factor for PCa.PDW is a protective factor for PCa.2.NLR,PLR and PDW are helpful for the diagnosis of PCa.3.NLR and PLR are significantly increased in patients with bone metastases.NLR and PLR are of important value in the diagnosis of bone metastases in PCa patients.PLR is an independent risk factor for bone metastases in PCa patients.
