Objective:To observe the clinical effect of surgical method treatment by reconstructing the anterior talofibular and calcaniofibular ligaments for chronic lateral ankle instability,Methods: Twenty-seven eases of old ankle joint injury were treated from October 2012 to September 2019.Group A:fifty-four with an average age of26.6 years old.Group B with 44 patients treated with conservatived therapy; All patients in group A underwent ankle clean up and taken from the tendon of fibula anatomic reconstruction to create the insertion for the calcaneofibular ligament and the anterior talofibular ligament.Use ankle scoring system to evaluate ankle joint function before and after operation. Results: All patients in group A were followed up 3-25 months with an average of18.2months.The range of motion was generally recovered without recurrent instability during the follow up period. The AOFAS score was improved from(52.2±2.4)to(85.3±5.1).Conclusion: To reconstruct the calcaneofibular ligament and the anterior talofibular ligamentwith anterior part of peroneal brevis tendon can effectively recover the lateral instability of ankle joint, and achieve a satisfactory effect,so as to supple a feasible treatment method for the treatment of ankle instability. |
