Objective: To investigate the possible risk factors for death of the novel coronavirus pneumonia(NCP).Methods: Twenty-two patients who died of NCP referred to No.7 Wuhan Hospital were studied retrospectively. Results: There were 31 male patients and 18 female patients. The average age of patients was 69.9±10.2 years. The days of onset of illness to death was 20.9±9.2 days. The common complaints were fever(95.2%);short breath(66.7%);weekness(50.0%);cough(40.5%).81.0% accompanied underlying disease. The score of Mul BSTA system which was up to 12 degree occupied 87.8%.The time from onset to admission time was positively correlated with the time from onset to death. Conclusions: The death-related risk factors of NCP were complicated and versatile. The possible factors were related with age, underlying disease, complications;MuLBSTA system may be used to predict the severity of NCP.
