Objective Through compare the clinical characteristics and drug resistance of pseudomonas aeruginosa infection in different age groups,to province evidence for clinical rationalization of medication and optimize clinical antimicrobial application strategy. Methods The retrospective analysis were performed.Clinical data of infection caused by pseudomonas aeruginosa in Shengjing Hospital affiliated to China Medical University from Jan 2017 to Sep 2019 were collected, divided into six groups according to the age of infected patients. The sample source, department source and bacterial resistance of all the groups were compared. Results A total of 1278 strains of non-duplicate pseudomonas aeruginosa were detected, among which 793 were male and 485 were female, accounting for 62.050% and 37.950%of the total number of infected patients, respectively. The most common distribution of age groups was <1 and 60?74,accounting for 17.449% and 31.299%,respectively,and the average age was 45.741±54.000 years old.The first four departments are intensive care units, general surgical units, respiratory units and neonatal units. The first three strains source were sputum, urine and drainage fluid, accounting for 59.6%,11.0% and8.6% respectively.PA has a certain degree of resistance to commonly used antimicrobial drugs, and there are certain differences among different age groups. The detection rate of pseudomonas aeruginosa resistant to carbapenems was high, which was more obvious in?75 years old group. The drug resistance rates of imipenem and meropenem in each group were ?18.400% and 16.500% respectively.Patients < 1 year old had a high drug resistance rate to beta-lactam antibiotics, and the drug resistance rate to ceftazidine and cefepime was significantly higher than that of other age groups. The drug resistance rate of a variety of antibacterial drugs has a trend of increasing with age.The samples from drainage fluid source had the highest resistance rate to antibiotics, especially to ?-lactam antibiotics, followed by sputum, and the drug resistance rates of blood and urine-derived strains were slightly lower, but still at a high level. Conclusion Pseudomonas aeruginosa mainly infect patients with hypoimmunity, such as critical patient, the aged, neonate, perioperative period and so on.All of the groupsmainly suffer respiratory tract infection.Resistance rates of most antibiotics tend to increase with age,and the detection rate of carbapenem-resistant pseudomonas aeruginosa is high. The samples from drainage fluid source had the highest resistance rate to antibiotics. Therefore,we are required to strengthen bacterial resistance monitoring, and standardize the use of antimicrobial agents.
