Objective: To explore the level of retinol-binding protein-4(RBP-4)in terms of the severity of coronary artery disease in patients with coronary heart disease. Methods: There were 202 patients once underwent coronary angiography in China Medical University Affiliated Shengjing Hospital from December 2018 to August 2019.We divide the patients into coronary heart disease group(159 cases)and control group(43 cases)due to the results which was taken from coronary angiography. We divide the coronary artery disease group into acute ST-segment elevated myocardial infarction group, acute non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction group and angina pectoris group.Appraising the severity of coronary artery disease via SYNTAX score and analyzing its relationship with RBP-4.We analyze the correlation between the level of RBP-4 and SYNTAX score by using pearson correlation analysis. The optimal cut-off point of RBP-4 to predict severe coronary artery disease was evaluated by ROC curve. Results:Level of RBP-4 value in coronary heart disease group was much higher than that in normal group with statistical significance[(42.51±19.00)ng/ml vs.(36.44±11.13)ng/ml].The RBP-4 value of acute ST segment elevated myocardial infarction group[(47.82±29.98)ng/ml]and acute non-ST segment elevated myocardial infarction group[(44.82±15.23)ng/ml]was significantly higher than that of normal group[(36.44±11.13)ng/ml],while the difference between the angina pectoris group and the normal group was slight. There is also an obverse difference between the acute ST segment elevated myocardial infarction group and the angina pectoris group.(P<0.05),while the difference between the acute ST segment elevated myocardial infarction group[(47.82± 29.98)ng/ml ] and acute non-ST segment elevated myocardial infarction group[(39.42±21.43)ng/ml]was not obvious. There was a significant positive relationship between RBP-4 and SYNTAX score(r=0.412,P<0.001).The best cut-point of RBP-4to predict severe coronary artery disease was 33.37 ng/ml owing to the result of ROC curve analysis, whose specificity was 0.76 while the sensitivity was 0.49.Conclusions:Patients with coronary heart disease may achieved an increasedlevel of RBP-4 significantly, which was correlated with the severity of coronary artery disease positively, the level of RBP-4 may predict severe coronary artery disease. |
