Therapeutic Effect Of Bone Cement Screw On Elderly Patients With Lumbar Spondylolisthesis

Purpose:observing the curative effect and safety of cemented pedicle screw treatment in elderly patients with lumbar spondylolisthesis,then comparing the treatment with that of pedicle screw.Methods:We retrospectively collected 46 case elderly patients with lumbar spondylolisthesis who in Xiangdong hospital affiliated to hunan normal university from March 2017 to March 2019.A total of 40 patients met the inclusion criteria,Among them there were 24 cases of patient treated with cemented pedicle screws(the observation group)and 16 cases of patient treated with conventional pedicle screws(control group).firstly,we comprehensively contrasted and analyzed various data of two groups,including gender,age,Slippage of segments and grades,Jikei index,operative duration,intraoperative blood loss,time of hospital stay,before and after surgery of Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)Oswestry Dysfunction Index(ODI)intervertebral space height foraminal height,slippage distance,and quality of life,and the changes in the slippage rate and the intervertebral fusion rate during the follow-up period(12 months)of the two groups of patients in detail.finally,the efficacy and safety of bone cement pedicle screw treatment for senile lumbar spondylolisthesis patients were determined.Results:1.There was no significant difference in gender,age,spondylolisthesis and Jikei index between the observation group and the control group before treatment(P>0.05).2.The duration of surgery in the observation group was longer than that in the control group(P<0.05).But the intraoperative blood loss was not significantly different from that in the control group(P>0.05),and the length of hospital stay was significantly shortened(P<0.05)3.Three months after surgery,the VAS、ODI score,intervertebral space,intervertebral foramen height,slip rate and slip distance of the two groups were all improved(P<0.05).Additionally,the improved effectivity of the observation group was significantly better than that of the control group(P<0.05)4.Two groups were followed up for 12 months.The results showedthat the fusion effect and improvement in quality of life of the observation group were better than those of the control group(P<0.05)。Conclusion:Bone cement pedicle screw is effective in the treatment of senile lumbar spondylolisthesis,which is fixed and reliable.It showssignificance in promote lumbar fusion and maintain lumbar stability...
