Background and Objective Breast cancer is a major problem affecting women’s life and health, and has been receiving widespread attention from clinical and scientific researchers.Breast cancer is a multifactorial disease, including genetic factors, hormonal factors, and environmental factors. With the development of the times, the incidence of breast cancer and the number of deaths continue to rise. The etiology, treatment and mechanism of breast cancer have become a health issue that people are paying close attention to.Breast cancer has jumped to become the first incidence of malignant tumors in women, and is the main cause of death of female malignancies. In recent years, statistical reports have shown that breast cancer has grown rapidly at a rate of 2% per year.To a great extent,it threatens the health of people around the world. The study of homeobox genes has attracted scientific attention. It is one of the regulatory genes involved in biological development that contains a total of 183 common and identical nucleotide sequences. The homeobox genes participate in and guide the coding.61 regions called amino acids, also called homeodain(HD),gene products can be used to regulate the normal growth and development of organisms.HOXB13 is expressed in breast malignant cell lines and is related to the invasion and migration of tumor cell lines. Therefore,we explored the expression of HOXB13 in breast tissues, and analyzed its relationship with breast cancer-related typing, and explored the significance of its expression in breast cancer. It was found that the correlation between it and AR-positive breast cancer was significant in the experiment. Therefore, the significance of HOXB13 expression in AR-positive breast cancer patients was further explored. Methods 200 cases of AR positive breast cancer patients admitted to our hospital from July 2013 to July 2015 were included. The expression of HOXB13 in AR positive breast cancer patients was detected by immunohistochemistry.200 AR positive breast cancer patients were divided into HOXB13 positive group and HOXB13 negative group.X2 test was used to analyze the differences between the HOXB13 positive group and the HOXB13 negative group in age, menstrual status, lymph node status, age of menarche,BMI,family history of malignant tumor, histological grade,TNM stage, molecular classification and tumor diameter.Kaplan-meier survival analysis and log-rank analysis were used to analyze the difference in disease-free survival rate and overall survival rate between HOXB13 positive group and HOXB13 negative group. Results Among the 200 AR positive breast cancer patients,133 were also positive for HOXB13,with a positive rate of 66.5%.Histologic grade Ⅲ HOXB13 positive rate is higher than in patients with histological grade Ⅱ patients(P < 0.05),histological grade Ⅱ HOXB13 positive rate is higher than in patients with histological grade Ⅰ patients(P < 0.05);The positive rate of HOXB13 in breast cancer patients with tumor diameter less than 2cm was lower than that in breast cancer patients with tumor diameter more than 2cm(P<0.05).TNM stage Ⅲ HOXB13 positive rate is higher than in patients with TNM stage Ⅱ patients(P < 0.05),TNM stage Ⅱ HOXB13 in patients with positive rate is higher than TNM Ⅰ patients(P < 0.05);In addition, the positive expression of HOXB13 was statistically significant in different molecular types of breast cancer(P<0.05).The disease-free survival rate and overall survival rate of the HOXB13 positive group were 73.07% and 77.64%,respectively,while the disease-free survival rate and overall survival rate of the HOXB13 negative group were 82.70% and 86.34%,respectively.The disease-free survival rate of HOXB13 positive group was statistically significant compared with that of HOXB13 negative group(chi-square =10.17,P=0.0014).Overall survival rate of HOXB13 positive group was statistically significant compared with that of HOXB13 negative group(chi-square =5.62,P=0.0177).Conclusions HOXB13 is highly expressed in AR positive breast cancer, and the expression status of HOXB13 has an influence on the prognosis of patients.
