Comparative Study On Quality Of Life And Its Related Factors Between Rural Left-Behind And Non-Left-Behind Women In Liaoning Province

Objective: With the acceleration of urbanization,a large number of rural male labor force poured into the city,which had an important impact on the physical and mental health of rural women.Therefore,the purpose of this study is to explore the status quo of the quality of life of left behind and non-left behind women in Liaoning Province,analyze and study the relevant influencing factors from demographic factors and social psychological factors,and compare the quality of life of left behind and non-left behind women,so as to provide a scientific theoretical basis for improving the mental health status of rural women and improving the quality of life.Methods: In this study,six cities(Shenyang,Dalian,Benxi,Chaoyang,Jinzhou and Fuxin)were stratified randomly selected in Liaoning Province.Each city was randomly selected as a district or county,each district or county randomly selected as a township,each township randomly selected as a village.For each selected village,the age ? 18 years old,mental health and married women who participated in and signed the informed consent were interviewed.In this study,1794 questionnaires were distributed and 1456 questionnaires were collected.The effective response rate was 81.2%.The World Health Organization Quality of life BREF(WHOQOL BREF)was used to measure the quality of life of rural women;the UCLA Loneliness Scale(University of California at Los Angeles)was used to measure the loneliness of rural women;the satisfaction with life scale(SWLS)was used to measure the life of rural women Satisfaction;the Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI)was used to measure rural women's sleep quality;the Connor Davidson Resilience Scale(CD-RISR)was used to measure rural women's psychological resilience;the general situation scale was used to investigate rural women's demographic factors.The SPSS 20.0 and SAS 9.4 were used for statistical analysis.Results: There were 615 left behind women and 841 non-left behind women in this study.In the comparative study of basic characteristics,there are significant differences between left behind and non-left behind women in labor pressure,physical exercise,caring for the elderly,raising children,life events,debt and marriage security.Regression analysis showed that the main influencing factors of left behind women's physical health included life satisfaction(beta = 0.222),mother-in-law relationship(poor vs.good,beta =-0.167;relationship generally vs.good,beta =-0.082),loneliness(beta =-0.155),marriage security(safety vs.insecurity,beta = 0.148;general vs.insecurity,beta = 0.144),sleep quality index(beta =-0.134)and life events(beta = 0.121);the main influencing factors of mental health include life satisfaction(beta = 0.277),sleep quality index(beta =-0.163),loneliness(beta =-0.153),mother-in-law daughter-in-law relationship(bad vs.good relationship,beta = 0.148),labor stress(low vs.high,beta = 0.118)and annual income(beta =-0.116);the main effects of social relations The influencing factors include marriage security(security vs.insecurity,beta = 0.208),psychological resilience(beta = 0.195),sleep quality index(beta =-0.184),loneliness(beta =-0.137),mother-in-law daughter-in-law relationship(general vs.good relationship,beta =-0.104);the main influencing factors in the field of environment include life satisfaction(beta = 0.304),mother-in-law daughter-in-law relationship(general vs.good relationship,beta =-0.163),labor stress(low vs.high,beta =-0.152),life events(beta = 0.131),psychological resilience(beta = 0.131),physical exercise(beta =-0.113),and annual income(beta =-0.111).Among the non-left behind women,the main influencing factors of physical health include psychological resilience(beta = 0.250),life satisfaction(beta = 0.209),sleep quality index(beta =-0.119)and physical exercise(beta =-0.109);the main influencing factors of mental health include life satisfaction(beta = 0.251),psychological resilience(beta = 0.222),physical exercise(beta =-0.120),life events(beta = 0.105)and sleep quality index(beta =-0.102);the main influencing factors of social relations include psychological resilience(beta = 0.245),loneliness(beta =-0.161),labor pressure(low vs.high,beta = 0.155),labor pressure(moderate vs.high,beta = 0.137)and mother-in-law relationship(general vs.good,beta =-0.104);the main influencing factors in the field of environment include Psychological resilience(beta = 0.308),life satisfaction(beta = 0.263),labor pressure(low vs.high,beta = 0.176),labor pressure(moderate vs.high,beta = 0.115),and life events(beta = 0.156).In the comparative study of quality of life,there were significant differences between the left behind women and the non-left behind women in the fields of physical health,mental health,social relations and environment(P ? 0.001).The scores of the left behind women in the fields of physical health,mental health,social relations and environment were higher than those of the left behind women.Conclusion: The results show that the quality of life of left behind and non-left behind women is statistically different in the fields of physical health,mental health,social relations and environment.There are significant differences in demographic characteristics between rural left behind women and non-left behind women,the factors influencing the quality of life are both common and different.The results of this study suggest that for left behind and non-left behind women in rural areas,it is beneficial to improve the relationship between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law,reduce loneliness,improve marriage security,psychological flexibility,life satisfaction and sleep quality by promoting the economic and social development of rural areas,building a good social support system,carrying out popular science of mental health education,improving cultural level and carrying out rural cultural and sports activities.And improve the quality of life.
