| Objective : As a common psychiatry treatment,MECT is an effective treatment for schizophrenia. However, after MECT treatment some patients will have memory disorder and their compliance and living quality will be affected. This study is on the clinical efficacy about using donepezil to improve the schizophrenic’s memory disorder caused by MECT treatment.Method : Use PANSS scale and clinical memory scale to assist the data of MECT treatment indications of patients with schizophrenia before MECT treatment and the day they ended the MECT treatment and select 70 patients who have memory deterioration. These 70 patients were randomly divided into two groups: experimental group 35 patients on the basis of application of antipsychotics for donepezil treatment, control group of 35 cases with single application of antidepressant drugs. Two groups are both using olanzapine as antipsychotic drugs. And they would be evaluated by clinical memory scale and PANSS scale three weeks after MECT treatment.Result:There was no significant difference in PANSS scale positive symptom score, negative symptom score, general psychiatric symptom score and total score between the two groups before and after treatment(P > 0.05).There was no significant difference in the factor scores and MQ values of the clinical memory scale between the two groups before treatment(P >0.05).After 3 weeks of treatment, the index memory, associative learning, meaningless pattern recognition and MQ values in the clinical memory scale of the experimental group were all higher than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P < 0.05).There was no significant difference in adverse reactions between the two groups(P > 0.05).Conclusion:Donepezil can improve the memory impairment after MECT treatment in schizophrenia patients, and the safety is good. |
