| Objective:The aim of this study was to discuss about feasibility and safety of laparoscopic surgery for gastric stromal tumor. Methods:We retrospectively analyzed the data of eighty patients with primary gastric stromal tumor who underwent surgical treatment in abdominal department or intestinal department of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University/Yunnan Cancer Hospital from January 2010 to December 2018,including general data, operation data, pathological data and follow-upsResults:The results showed that the size of tumors in OG group were larger than LAPG group(P=0.017 95%,CI0.247-2.406)and more difficult to perform(P=0.036 95%,CI1.516-402.558).Besides,the time of first flatus was earlier in LAPG group(p=0.01 95%,CI 0.109-0.771),so was the length of hospital stay(P=0.001 95%,CI 1.29-4.55).The length of incision was apparently longer in OG group(P=.000 95%,CI 9.279-10.961).And there was more estimated blood loss in OG group(P=.048 95%,CI 1.516-402.558).The mean time of recurrence in OG group and LAPG group were 90.1 months and 73.4 months, respectively. And further analysis found that no significant difference between two groups for their recurrence.Additionally,no significant difference in data of gender, age, first complains, postoperative complications and histological resultsConclusion:According to our study, for gastric GIST less than 10cm,we found that the LAPG group had better shot-term outcomes to treat gastric stromal tumors than OG group. However,in terms of long-term outcomes, there were no significant differences between these two groups. There was inevitably selection bias.Collectively,it is necessary to rectify surgical procedures, but the priority should be considered according to the newest guidelines, especially the location and size of tumors, making patients reap the greatest benefits from treatment. |
