Skin Barrier Function Test And Application Of Capsaicin Test And Lactic Acid Stinging Test In Diagnosis Of Rosacea

Objectives:To investigate the application value of the lactic acid stinging test(LAST)and capsaicin test(CAT)in the diagnosis of rosacea and reveal the skin physiological and physicochemical characteristics in patients with rosacea.Methods:60 patients with rosacea were selected as rosacea group;49 patients with other facial erythema(seborrheic dermatitis,facial recurrent dermatitis and chronic actinic dermatitis)were selected as other facial erythema group;and 60 healthy people were selected as healthy group.LAST and CAT were performed to analyze the positive rates in all the groups,and histopathological examination on skin were performed in some patients with rosacea;② the moisture content of the skin and transepidermal water loss(TEWL)on face,melanin and hemoglobin were tested before and after application of LAST and CAT,and then analyze the results by using SPSS 24.0 statistical software.Difference of moisture content of the skin,melanin and hemoglobin before and after application of LAST and CAT was used to analyze and investigate the sensitivity and specificity of LAST and CAT for the diagnosis and differential diagnosis in rosacea.Results:① From October 2018 to October 2019,60 patients with rosacea were selected as rosacea group,49 patients with other facial erythema(seborrheic dermatitis,facial recurrent dermatitis and chronic actinic dermatitis)were selected as other facial erythema group,and 60 healthy people were selected as healthy group.There are no significantly differences in age and gender among those groups,and those groups can be used in the follow-up study.②LAST positive rates in the rosacea group,other facial erythema group,and healthy group were 78.3%,61.22%,and 30%,respectively.Rosacea group has higher LAST positive rate than healthy group,with significantly difference(α<0.0167),while the LAST positive rates of rosacea group showed no significantly different with other facial erythema group(α=0.082).③The positive rates of CAT in rose acne group,other facial erythema group,and healthy group showed significantly difference,as 58.33%,16.33%,and 5%respectively;furthermore,the group comparison between rosacea group with other two groups showed significantly difference.
