ObjectTo investigate the relationship among ABO blood type,ABO blood type antibody and In Vitro Fertilization/Intracytoplasmic sperm injection-Embryo Transfer(IVF/ICSI-ET)pregnancy outcomes,we analyzed ABO blood type,ABO blood type antibody and pregnancy outcomes in patients undergoing the first cycle of IVF/ICSI-ET.MethodsThe retrospective analysis was performed on the ABO blood type,ABO blood type antibody and pregnancy outcomes of patients undergoing the first cycle of IVF/ICSI-ET at Center for Reproductive Medicine,Shandong University from January 2015 to January 2018.According to the ABO blood type of female patients, they were divided into four small groups:group O,group A,group B,and group AB.The pregnancy outcomes of all patients in different groups were compared, including non-pregnancy,biochemical pregnancy abortion, ectopic pregnancy, early abortion, late abortion premature delivery term delivery and post-term delivery. At the same time, the relevant clinical data and laboratory test results of patients that may affect pregnancy outcomes were compared, including age,BMI,basal FSH,AMH,AFC,infertility years, infertility diagnoses, fertilization method, ovarian stimulation protocols, duration of ovarian stimulation, dosage of gonadotropins, peak endometrial thickness, total oocytes retrieved, mature oocytes retrieved, the day of transplantation. In addition,a retrospective analysis was performed on the relationship among ABO blood type antibody and IVF/ICSI-ET pregnancy outcomes.According to the ABO blood type of male patients,1,542 women with blood type O were grouped. They were divided into four small groups:group O,group A,group B,and group AB.The pregnancy outcomes and the relevant clinical data and laboratory test results of all patients in different groups were compared.ResultsA total of 5,370 pairs of eligible patients were finally included according to the established screening criteria. The first grouping was based on the ABO blood type of female patients, and they were divided into four small groups,of which 1542 were in group O,1490 in group A,1741 in group B,and 579 in group AB.1.Compared with the four group of group O,group A,group B,and group AB,there were no significant differences in general clinical data, including age,BMI,basal FSH,AMH,AFC,infertility years, infertility diagnoses, fertilization method, ovarian stimulation protocols, duration of ovarian stimulation, dosage of gonadotropins, peak endometrial thickness, total oocytes retrieved, mature oocytes retrieved, the day of transplantation.(P>0.05).2.The different of delivery time, pregnancy rate, live birth rate and abortion rate among different blood group type groups were not statistically significant(P>0.05).According to the male blood group,1,542 female patients with type O blood were redivided into four small antibody groups, including 452 patients in group O,450 patients in group A,483 patients in group B,and 157 patients in group AB.1.Compared with the four group of group O,group A,group B,and group AB,there were no significant differences in general clinical data, including age,BMI,basal FSH,AMH,AFC,infertility years, infertility diagnoses, fertilization method, ovarian stimulation protocols, duration of ovarian stimulation, dosage of gonadotropins, peak endometrial thickness, total oocytes retrieved, mature oocytes retrieved, the day of transplantation.(P>0.05).2.The different of delivery time, pregnancy rate and live birth rate among different blood group type antibody groups were not statistically significant(P>0.05).The abortion rate of patients in group AB was higher than that of the other three groups, but the difference between the four groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion1.The ABO blood type is not related to the pregnancy outcomes of IVF/ICSI-ET.2.ABO blood type antibody is not related to he pregnancy outcomes of IVF/ICSI-ET.3.This study presents a trend of low pregnancy rate and live birth rate of blood type B,and high pregnancy rate and live birth rate of type B incompatible couples.
