| Brain injury is one of the leading causes of death and disability worldwide, and the issue of functional recovery after brain injury has received widespread attention.Due to the complex neural remodeling that occurs during the recovery of the brain, the mechanism of functional rehabilitation after brain injury has not been elucidated. This article chooses to study the changes of EEG signal parameters during the recovery of brain injury, and hopes to help the study of the function recovery mechanism after brain injury. The traditional research methods of EEG signals are mainly comparisons between groups.Because different individuals and different brain injury sites have effects on EEG signals, the design pattern of comparison between groups has been incomplete revealed the underlying mechanism of the recovery of brain function. Therefore, this article chose to study the EEG signals of two symmetrical brain regions(one side is the injured area and the other is the non-injured area)of a single rat,and monitor them dynamically. It is hope that we can better understand the differences between the EEG signals on both sides of the brain during the recovery of brain function, and find measures of EEG signals that characterize the recovery of brain function. In this paper, the brains in the injured brain area and the contralateral non-injured brain area in rats with focal cerebral ischemia group(n = 12),traumatic brain injury group(n = 10),and sham group(n = 11).The EEG signals were collected and tracked. The motor functions of the rats in the above groups and the control group(n = 10)were evaluated, and the correlation between various characteristic parameters of the EEG signals and motor function recovery was explored. The main results of this study are as follows:(1)Theta,alpha,and beta band energy values, sample entropy, and LZ complexity of the injured area on the first day after brain injury are lower than those of the non-injured area, and are statistically significant.(2)The energy values, approximate entropy, and sample entropy values ??of the beta band of the injured brain area on days 1,4,and 7 after injury gradually increase with the recovery of brain function, and have statistical significance.(3)On the first day after brain injury, there was a significant difference in motor function between the focal cerebral ischemia group, traumatic brain injury group and the sham group. With the recovery of brain function, the motor function of focal cerebral ischemia group and traumatic brain injury group gradually tended to sham group and control group.(4)The improvement in motor function in the focal cerebral ischemia group and the traumatic brain injury group significantly correlated with the increase in EEG sample entropy. |
