Objective:To explore and analyze the value of gadoxetate disodium(Gd-EOB-DTPA)enhanced magnetic resonance imaging combined with diffusion weighted imaging(DWI)in the diagnosis of liver nodular lesions.Materials and methods:This study is a retrospective study and approved by the Research Ethics Committee of Jingzhou Central Hospital(Second Clinical Hospital of Yangtze University),Hubei Province,China.71 patients with clinically diagnosed liver nodular lesions(diameter ≤3 cm)and definite lesions were screened from May 2017 to November 2019.1.The diagnostic accordance rates of benign and malignant nodules in the two groups(Gd-EOB-DTPA enhanced MRI+DWI group and general-enhanced MRI+DWI group)were compared.2.The accuracy of qualitative diagnosis of all lesions in Gd-EOB-DTPA enhanced MRI+DWI group and general-enhanced MRI+DWI group was calculated.Results:1.The diagnose accordance rates of the 2 groups of examination methods for various liver nodular lesions(diameter≤3cm)are 97.7%and 98.9%.The diagnose accordance rates of general enhanced MRI+DWI group and Gd-EOB-DTPA enhanced MRI+DWI group is higher.Under different liver function conditions(normal group,Child-Pugh A,B and C group),the diagnose accordance rates of Gd-EOB-DTPA enhanced MRI+DWI group was 87.5%,93.9%,87.5%and 78.5%,and the number of general enhanced MRI+DWI group was 87.5%、87.9%、68.8%、78.6%.2.The diagnostic accuracy of the Gd-EOB-DTPA enhanced MRI+DWI group for hepatocellular carcinoma,liver localized dysplasia,liver cirrhosis nodules,liver metastases and hemangiomas were 92%,83.3%,75%,90%,93.8%;and the number of general-enhanced MRI+DWI group were 68%,33.3%,25%,40%,62.5%.The Gd-EOB-DTPA enhanced MRI+DWI group had higher diagnostic accuracy for hepatocellular carcinoma than the general-enhanced MRI+DWI group.3.The diagnostic sensitivity of Gd-EOB-DTPA enhanced MRI+DWI group(80%)was higher than that of general-enhanced MRI+DWI group(55.6%),but the diagnostic specificity of the two was the same.Conclusion:1.Gd-EOB-DTPA enhanced MRI combined with DWI can diagnose common liver nodules(diameter≤3cm),such as hepatocellular carcinoma,liver localized dysplasia,cirrhotic nodules,liver metastases and hemangiomas,and the diagnose accordance rates and diagnostic accuracy are highly consistent with the"golden standard"(pathological results).2.The diagnostic accuracy of Gd-EOB-DTPA enhanced MRI combined with DWI for HCC(diameter≤3cm)is significantly higher than that of general-enhanced MRI.So for patients with clinically suspected HCC(diameter≤3cm),it is recommended to perform Gd-EOB-DTPA enhancement MRI combined with DWI to provide more effective information for the location,quantitative and qualitative diagnosis of the lesions at one time.3.In this study,Gd-EOB-DTPA-enhanced MRI combined with DWI,general-enhanced MRI combined with DWI were used to diagnose hepatic nodular lesions with a diameter of≤3 cm.Various typical and atypical imaging signs were summarized and summarized for learning.
