Objective: By retrospectively analyzing the epidemiological characteristics of 348 poisonous snake bite patients admitted in our hospital, pathogenic mechanism and prevention of poisonous snake bites in the region. At the same time,it provides a certain evidence-based medical basis for the hospital’s self-prepared Snakebite wound prescription No.1 for external use,and the self-prepared Snakebite wound detoxification decoction’s advantages over Ji Desheng snake medicine in treating snake bites. The self-designed Snakebite Injury Recipe No.1 and the self-designed Snakebite Injury Detoxification Decoction were declared to be in-hospital preparations, and then promoted in this area to provide a theoretical basis. Methods: a total of 348 cases of snakebites in the Affiliated Hospital of traditional Chinese medicine of Southwest Medical University between April 2015 and November-2019 were analyzed retrospectively. At the same time,60 cases of snake bite patients with complete data of the same period were treated with combination of Chinese and Western medicine. The treatment plan of control group 1 was conventional western medicine plus oral administration of Jidesheng snake tablet. The treatment plan of control group 2 was conventional western medicine plus external application of self-made Snakebite No.1 prescription. The observation group was conventional western medicine plus internal application of self-made Snakebite detoxification decoction, and then self-made Snakebite No.1 prescription External application, the three groups of patients before and after treatment of the whole body and local TCM syndrome score, limb swelling, coagulation related indicators, myocardial enzyme spectrum related indicators were compared to observe the clinical effect.Results:(1)296 patients were bitten by vipers in Luzhou and 52 patients were bitten by vipers in Luzhou. In July,August and September, the number of patients bitten by vipers showed a peak state during this period;among the patients bitten by vipers, the elderly accounted for the majority(41-50 years old,51-60 years old);most of the patients bitten by vipers were within 24 hours, and could be treated timely and effectively. Most of the venomous snakes that bite people are Agkistrodon halys;the main parts of the bite are limbs,i.e.lower limbs and upper limbs, but the body and face are rare.(2)The significant efficiency of the observation group was 95.00%,the control group 1 was 70.00%,the control group 2 was 75.00%.It was found that the significant efficiency of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group 1 and the control group 2(P<0.05);but there was no significant difference between the control group 1 and the control group 2(P>0.05),which showed that the efficacy of the combination of internal and external administration of traditional Chinese and Western medicine in the treatment of snake bites was accurate. At the same time, there were no serious complications in the three groups.By comparing the scores of local and systemic TCM syndromes before and after treatment,we found that there were significant differences in the scores of local and systemic TCM syndromes in each group(P<0.05).After 3 days of treatment, through analysis of variance, there was statistically significant difference between the local and systemic TCM syndrome scores of the three groups(P<0.05),among which the local and systemic TCM syndrome scores of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group 1 and the control group 2(P<0.05),but there was no statistically significant difference between the local and systemic TCM syndrome scores of the control group 1 and the control group 2(P>0.05).After 6 days of treatment, through analysis of variance, there was a statistical difference between the local and systemic TCM syndrome scores of the three groups(P<0.05),among which the local and systemic TCM syndrome scores of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group 1 and the control group 2(P<0.05),but there was no statistical difference between the local and systemic TCM syndrome scores of the control group 1 and the control group 2(P>0.05).After 6 days of treatment, there was statistical difference in TT and CK-MB among the three groups(P<0.05),but there was statistical difference in TT and CK-MB among the three groups(P<0.05)by analysis of variance;TT and CK-MB in the observation group were significantly better than those in the control group 1 and the control group 2(P<0.05),but there was no statistical difference in TT and CK-MB between the control group 1 and the control group 2(P>0.05)05).In terms of the improvement of limb swelling,on the 0,3 and 6 days after treatment, there was a significant difference in the score of limb swelling in each group(P<0.05).After 3 days of treatment, there was statistical difference between the three groups(P<0.05).After 6 days of treatment, there was statistical difference between the three groups(P<0.05)in the score of limb swelling degree(P<0.05).The score of limb swelling degree in the observation group and the control group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05),but there was no statistical difference between the observation group and the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion: the curative effect of the self-made formula is better than that of Jidesheng snake medicine, and the combination of internal and external medicine is better than that of internal or external medicine.
