| Objective:To observe the clinical effect of wenfeipeiyuan granule on patients with AIDS complicated with cough(syndrome of deficiency of spleen and kidney),and to discuss the efficacy and safety of wenfeipeiyuan granule on patients with syndrome of deficiency of spleen and kidney in AIDS,so as to provide data support for the promotion of this drug in the treatment of AIDS cough. Methods:A randomized,double-blind clinical study was conducted on 36 patients with AIDS complicated with cough(spleen and kidney deficiency syndrome).18 patients in the experimental group were treated with wenfei peiyuan granules, and 18 patients in the control group were treated with wenfei peiyuan granules. The treatment course was 7 days. The clinical efficacy of wenfeipeiyuan granule in treating patients with pulmonary infection of AIDS with phlegm-dampness-obstructing lung syndrome was studied by taking cough symptom score, cough visual simulation score, cough syndrome score, total points of main syndromes in traditional Chinese medicine, total points of secondary syndromes in traditional Chinese medicine, blood routine and liver and kidney function as observation indexes. Results:There were no significant differences in cough symptom score, visual simulation score and TCM syndromes of cough between the treatment group and the control group before and after treatment(p > 0.05).Secondary observation indexes: major syndromes of traditional Chinese medicine and secondary syndromes of traditional Chinese medicine, the difference was not statistically significant(p > 0.05);Safety indicators: blood routine, liver and kidney function, urine routine, stool routine, electrocardiogram and lung X-ray examination, the difference was not statistically significant(p > 0.05).Conclusion:The therapeutic effect of wenfei peiyuan granules on patients with spleen-kidney deficiency syndrome of AIDS and cough is still unclear. And a large sample, long period and multi-center study is still needed.Wenfei peiyuan granule is safe in clinical application and has no obvious toxic and side effects. |
