| ObjectiveTo evaluate the mid-term efficacy of OMNISPAN system in arthroscopic meniscal repair.MethodsWe pick 23 cases of meniscus injury those used OMNISPAN system under arthroscopy to repair meniscus from January 2015 to January 2016.Patients with anterior cruciate ligament injury were treated with autologous semitendinosus and gracilis tendon.Patients with anterior cruciate ligament injury were not included in this study. We evaluated the clinical healing of meniscal surgery, the preoperative and postoperative pain VAS score,Lysholm score, and the clinical criteria for clinical evaluation of Barrett.ResultsWe have compeleted the follow-up of VAS grading,Lysholm grading and assessment of Barrett Standard of meniscus healing at three months, six months and twelve months after surgery. The results show that the differences of the VAS score and Lysholm score between pre-surgery and three months, six months and twelve months after surgery are statistically significant(p<0.05).According to Barrett standard, the clinic healing is 91.30%.ConclusionsThe OMNISPAN system has good mid-term effect, and its operation is simple, and needs shorter time with less blood loss. The OMNISPAN system is a safe and effective surgical method for meniscus repair. |
