| Objective: Conducting a 12-week dietary intervention in patients with type 2 diabetes through Gynura divaricate(L.)DC extract powder and investigating its effects on blood sugar,blood lipids and islet function in patients with type 2 diabetes.Methods: Recruit 154 type 2 diabetes patients who met inclusion criteria.And randomly divide them into intervention group(79 patients)and control group(75 patients)by random number table combined with envelope method.Both were given health education,diet guidance and exercise guidance.On this basis,the intervention group take Gynura divaricate(L.)DC extract powder orally by warm water before dinner,10 g in the morning and 20 g in the evening for 12 weeks,each day.Review insulin,blood glucose,blood lipid,and related anthropometric indicators every 4 weeks,observing theirs’ changes during this research.Result: Before the intervention,there was no statistical difference between the groups(P>0.05).After 12-week intervention,the levels of glycated hemoglobin,fasting blood glucose,fasting insulin,triglyceride,high-density lipoprotein cholesterol,low-density lipoprotein cholesterol,HOMA-IR2 in intervention group were significantly lower than those in observation group(P<0.05),and HOMA-β、QUICKI and Mffm/I were significantly higher than those in observation group.Partial correlation analysis indicated that the intervention of Gynura divaricate(L.)DC extract powder was positively correlated with the change of glycated hemoglobin,fasting blood glucose,triglyceride,low-density lipoprotein cholesterol,HOMA-IR2,and negatively correlated with the change of QUICKI and Mffm/I(r=0.198,0.361,0.617,0.312,0.423,-0.502,-0.572)。(P<0.01).Conclusion: Routine drug therapy,combined with Gynura divaricate(L.)DC extract powder can control fasting blood glucose,reduce triglyceride,ameliorate insulin resistance and improve insulin function in patients with type 2 diabetes more effectively than routine drug therapy only. |
