Objectives:To study the compressive strength of four industrialized dental temporary sealing materials which are commonly used in clinical under the same sealing time(3 days、7 days、14 days),and compare with ZOE which the best powder-liquid ratio is 4.5g:1.0mL of the previous experiment, which provide experimental basis for selecting industrialized dental temporary sealing materials in clinical treatment, and verify ZOE with powder-liquid ratio is 4.5g:1.0mL clinical application value to improve treatment effectMethods:Four industrialized dental temporary sealing materials were named as Group A(Coltosol F),Group B(Caviton),Group C(Ceivitron),Group D(NF).Each group had fifteen samples, and had sixty samples at all.According to the standard of ISO 3107:201],samples were pressed into a pre-custom stainless steel mold, which were placed in the oral simulation environment to solidify and form unified standard independent specimens with 4mm*6mm(diameter*high).At 3、7 and 14 days, five samples were randomly selected from each group. The compressive strength of different materials was measured with the universal testing machine. Then, comparing the difference of compressive strength of four industrialized dental temporary sealing materials, and comparing them with Group E(ZOE with powder-liquid ratio is 4.5g:1.0mL).The combined effect of materials and time on compressive strength was analyzed by Multi-way ANOVA,and the respective effects of materials and time on compressive strength were analyzed by one-way ANOVA and LSD test. The relationship between the compressive strength of industrialized dental temporary sealing materials and time was analyzed by non-parametric Spearman rank correlation analysis.By taking the per gram of the industrialized dental temporary sealing materials as the cost, and the 7-days-average compressive strength of the industrialized dental temporary sealing materials as the effect, the cost-effectiveness and sensitivity analysis of each industrialized dental temporary sealing materials were compared. Results:The compressive strength of four industrialized dental temporary sealing materials was changed with time. The compressive strength of Group A was positively correlated, while Group B and D were negatively correlated with time. There is no correlation of the compressive strength of Group C with time. The compressive strength of Group A and Group E were the highest at 3 days.Group E was the highest at 7 days and 14 days, while Group B was the highest among the industrialized dental temporary sealing materials. The cost-effectiveness ratios of four industrialized dental temporary sealing materials respectively were Group A:0.056、Group B:0.053、Group C:0.069、Group D:0.027 at 7 daysConclusions:Among four industrialized dental temporary sealing materials,Coltosol F sealed temporarily for 3 days produced the best result among the rest;while at 7 days and 14 days,Caviton produced the best result;NF had the lowest cost-effectiveness ratios;Ceivitron had weaker compressive strength and the highest cost-effectiveness ratios, therefore should not be recommended for clinical usage.ZOE with powder-liquid ratio is 4.5g:1.0mL had higher compressive strength and lower cost, which can be promoted to use in community based hospitals. |
