| Objective:To study the relationship between malnutrition-inflammatory syndrome and anxiety and depression in maintenance hemodialysis patients. Methods:A total of 107 patients who underwent hemodialysis for at least 3 months at the Chenggong Branch of the First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University and the hospital headquarters were selected. All participants completed the Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA),the Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD),the Malnutrition Inflammation Score(MIS score),and the total protein, albumin, and transferrin were measured by fasting blood before dialysis.Total iron binding capacity, hemoglobin, total cholesterol, triglyceride, high density lipoprotein, low density lipoprotein, urea nitrogen, creatinine, calcium, phosphorus. The MIS score was used to assess the nutritional status of patients.Patients with Malnutrition Inflammation Complex Syndrome(MICS)were divided into mild MICS group(1-4 points)and moderate MICS group(5-8 points).,severe MICS group(>8 points). The degree of anxiety was assessed by HAMA and divided into non-anxiety group(<7 points),possibly anxiety group(7-13 points),positive anxiety group(14-20 points),and obvious anxiety group(12-28 points).,severe anxiety group(30 points or more). The degree of depression was assessed by HAMD and divided into no depression group(<4 points),possibly depression group(4-9 points),mild to moderate depression group(10-13 points),and severe depression group(14 points).the above). The study aimed to investigate the relationship between nutritional status and anxiety and depression in hemodialysis patients.Results:1.General:Includes hemodialysis patients aged between 18 and 85 years(mean age=49.66±15.14 years),including 66 males(61.7%)and 41 females(38.3%).The primary disease consisted of 23 cases of chronic glomerulonephritis,29 cases of hypertensive nephropathy,22 cases of diabetic nephropathy,3 cases of polycystic kidney disease,3 cases of obstructive nephropathy,14 cases of interstitial nephritis, and 13 cases of ominous causes.2.Assessment of nutritional status of patients:24 patients in the mild MICS group,57 patients in the moderate MICS group, and 26 patients in the severe MICS group.Anxiety assessment:10 patients without anxiety,28 patients with possible anxiety,27 patients with positive anxiety,36 patients with obvious anxiety, and 6 patients with severe anxiety.Depression assessment:9 patients without depression,17 patients with possible depression,26 patients with mild to moderate depression, and 55 patients with severe depression.3.Malnutrition-inflammation syndrome was associated with anxiety and depression(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Maintenance hemodialysis patients are often accompanied by malnutrition, and there is also a high prevalence of anxiety and depression;2.Malnutrition-inflammation syndrome affects anxiety and depression;3.As the degree of malnutrition-inflammation syndrome increases, anxiety and depression also increase;4.It is suggested that we should give anxiety and depression to the patients with malnutrition-inflammation syndrome in maintenance hemodialysis patients. |
