| Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of ultrasound-guided radiofrequency ablation(RFA)for benign thyroid nodules.Method:We selected 54 patients(79 benign nodules)with complete inclusion criteria from September 2017 to October 2018 in our hospital. The routine ultrasound examination was performed at 3 months,6 months, and 12 months after operation, and the following indicators were recorded, including observation of lesion changes, calculation of nodule volume reduction rate, and blood supply changes.Five routine thyroid function was performed 3 months after surgery. Results:In this study,a total of 79 benign nodules in 54 patients underwent ultrasound-guided RFA.After 3 months,6 months, and 12 months, the average diameter of the nodules gradually decreased,respectively:(1.86±1.04)cm,(1.55±0.99)cm and(1.30±0.99)cm,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The volume of postoperative nodules gradually decreased, and the average volume was(6.327±9.921)cm~3,(4.356±8.548)cm~3和(3.215±6.985)cm~3,and there was statistically differencebetween them(P<0.05).The mean volume reduction rates before and after surgery were:45.927%,54.330%,70.934%,the difference in the volume reduction rate of nodules was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the rate of solid capsule change was significantly higher than that of solid.Fifty-four patients underwent reexamination of thyroid function at 3 months after operation, and the change was not significant before surgery. The difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Of the total of 79 nodules in 54 patients,9(11.39%)were cured,60(75.95%)were markedly effective,4(5.06%)were effective, and 6(7.59%)were ineffective. The total effective rate of this group was 92.41%.During the study, except for a few patients with pain, temporary hoarseness and infection in the operation area,no serious complications such as bleeding, tracheal injury and esophageal injury occurred.Conclusion:Ultrasound-guided radiofrequency ablation for the treatment of benign thyroid nodules is effective, safe, complications,no surgical scars, and can be used as a routine treatment. |
