ObjectiveFrom the perspective of positive psychology, the purpose of this study was to investigate the status quo and influencing factors of psychological resilience in patients with postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction. Then, this study based on the framework of resilience theory and related variables to construct an mediation model of resilience in postpartum patients of pelvic floor dysfunction. To analysed the pathways between hope and resilience for postpartum patients of pelvic floor dysfunction,in order to provide data support and theoretical basis and improve patients’ mental health.Method1.This study was a cross-sectional survey by using convenient sampling method. The study used the general information questionnaire, the Connor-Davidson Resilience scale, the Herth Hope Scale and Medical Coping Modes questionnaire to investigated the postpartum patients of pelvic floor dysfunction in a three-level hospital of Shandong province.2.At first, raw data was collected by EXCEL.Then, data was analyzed using SPSS 21.0 statistical software.Demographic data were described by t-test and one-way analysis of variance.Resilience, hope and different medical coping styles were analyzed by pearson correlation analysis. The influence factors of resilience were analyzed by multiple stepwise regression.P<0.05 indicates statistical significance.3.Amos20.0 software was used to establish structural equation models of patients’ resilience. The maximum likelihood method was used to estimate the parameters. The bootstrap test was used to verify the mediating effect of coping styles between the hope level and the psychological resilience.Results1.In this study,a total of 250 questionnaires were sent out,232 questionnaires were effectively recovered, the effective recovery rate was 92.8%.The total score of resilience in 232 female patients was(53.13±12.07)points.The age, family monthly income, residence and delivery times were significantly different(P<0.05).2.Pearson correlation analysis showed that resilience was positively correlated with the hope level(r=0.546,P<0.01),was positively correlated with face coping(r=0.647,P<0.01)and a negatively correlated with yield coping(r=-0.161,P<0.05).There was no correlation between resilience and avoidance coping(r=0.056,P>0.05).Multivariate linear stepwise regression analysis showed that age, family monthly income, hope and face coping were the predictors of resilience;Variables entering the model could account for 56.9% of the total variance.3.The structural equation model fits well. The hope had a significant positive direct effect on face coping(β=0.58,P<0.001),the hope had a direct positive effect on resilience(β=0.50,P<0.001),the face coping had a direct positive effect on resilience(β=0.42,P<0.01),and the hope indirectly affected resilience through face coping.Facing coping plays a partial intermediary role between the hope and resilience. The contribution rate of intermediary is 32.48%.Conclusion1.The level of resilience of postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction women at lower levels.Resilience is closely related to patient’s hope and face coping.2.Age,family monthly income, hope and face coping were important predictors of resilience in postpartum patients with pelvic floor dysfunction.3.Facing coping was an intermediary variable between hope and resilience. The results suggestted that medical staff should develop personalized psychological counseling programs for patients. On the one hand,we should enhance patients’ hope level and strengthen patients’ beliefs on treatment of diseases. On the other hand,we should encourage patients to adopt positive coping strategies actively,in order to improve their resilience and enhance their mental health.
