Objective: to investigate the role of ivalbudine in age-related atrial fibrillation. Methods:twelve healthy beagle dogs were selected, male and female were not limited. The patients were randomly divided into sinus rhythm group(n = 4),atrial fibrillation group(n = 4)and ivabradine intervention group(n = 4).The atrial fibrillation model dogs were made by rapid atrial appendage pacing in the atrial fibrillation group. The ivabradine group was given drug intervention for 2 weeks after the success of atrial fibrillation model. Each group was given cardiac echocardiography(measurement of cardiac cavity size and other indicators),electrophysiological detection(atrial effective refractory period, sinoatrial node recovery time, atrial fibrillation induction rate, atrial fibrillation duration). Results: Compared with sinus rhythm group, the left atrial diameter of AF group increased significantly(28.47 ± 0.72 mm vs 22.45± 0.65,P < 0.05),while the right atrium, pulmonary artery, left ventricular end systole and ejection fraction were not statistically significant.Compared with sinus rhythm group and AF group, the left atrial diameter and ejection fraction of ivabradine group were not statistically significant There was no significant difference in ESR,pulmonary artery, left ventricular end diastolic, right atrium and ejection fraction(P > 0.05).Conclusion: ivalbudine can reduce the heart rate and prolong the effective refractory period, thus reducing the atrial fibrillation induction rate and duration of atrial fibrillation in dogs with atrial fibrillation, inhibiting atrial and ventricular remodeling, and playing a therapeutic role in aging dogs with atrial fibrillation. |
