Objective(s):This study analyzed the current situation and characteristics of outpatient visits in a tertiary hospital in Yunnan Province,understood the factors affecting outpatient visits and the problems existing in outpatient visits,explored the countermeasures to optimize outpatient visits and improve the efficiency of outpatient visits in tertiary hospital,improved patients’experience,and provided reference for the optimization of outpatient visits in other hospitals.Methods:In this study,the outpatient department of a third grade specialized hospital in Yunnan Province was selected as the research site,based on literature review,quantitative analysis of outpatient information system data and in-depth interview,qualitative and quantitative methods were used to combine qualitative and quantitative methods,with outpatient data and outpatients.Outpatient medical workers and hospital managers were studied by using Excel 2010,Excel 9.2 software,chi-square test,single factor variance analysis and multiple linear regression analysis,combined with interviews and literature.The policy data describe the present situation of outpatient treatment in hospital.Results:1.In recent years,the number of outpatient consultations has been increasing and the rate of appointment registration is also increasing rapidly year by year.The age of outpatients is mainly concentrated in the period of 50±59 years old,and the number of female patients is more than that of male patients.Gynecology,breast surgery,head and neck surgery and so on are the characteristic departments of the hospital,and the number of outpatients is relatively large.2.The time spent in each link of the clinic can not fully meet the policy requirements.Compared with the waiting time in the research of other hospitals in China,there is still a certain gap between the hospital and the improvement of space age,gender,department,different time periods(month,week).The waiting time of doctors with different professional titles is the influencing factor.In the optimization of outpatient layout,the outpatient treatment links with long waiting time and problems are improved.3.Outpatient service should embody the concept of "patient-centered" and improve in the direction of humanization and standardization.According to the change of outpatient volume cycle,reasonable allocation of medical resources and strengthening the fine management of outpatient clinic.Conclusion(s):1.According to the quantity of outpatient diagnosis in different departments and departments at different time,the resources of outpatient department should be adjusted reasonably.The time spent in each link of the clinic can not fully meet the policy requirements;compared with the waiting time in the research of other hospitals in China,there is still a certain gap and room for improvement in the hospital;3.Waiting time is an improvement aspect of national policy and even local hospital,and the waiting time of the hospital needs to be further shortened.Suggestions:1.Promote the construction of medical consortia and deepen the implementation of two-way referrals;2.Promote the development of "Internet medical treatment" model;3.Improve the problem link of outpatient process,optimize the layout of outpatient resources;4.The advanced management concept is introduced into the hospital management to reconstruct the existing process and optimize the hospital outpatient service deeply.
