Objective The effect of different treatment methods on serum iron level in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in Xining area was studied by measuring the serum iron levels before and 2 months after treatment.According to the difference of serum iron level between the two groups, the choice of treatment mode of type 2 diabetes mellitus was guided. Methods In this study,60 newly diagnosed patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus who were admitted to the general outpatient department and the inpatient department of the General Hospital of the Department of Internal Medicine,Endocrinology and Hutai Community Service Center, numbered 1-60,randomly selected a number, odd number A total of 30 patients were enrolled in the oral drug intervention group, and 30 patients were selected in the subcutaneous insulin injection group. The serum iron values were measured before treatment and 2 months after treatment. The serum iron levels in the two groups were observed, and the possible differences may guide the choice of treatment methods for type 2 diabetes, providing more theoretical basis for the choice of treatment options for type 2 diabetes. Results 1.In the oral drug group, the SI,FPG and Hb A1 c were compared before and after treatment(P < 0.05).The difference was statistically significant.2.In the subcutaneous insulin group, the SI,FPG and Hb A1 c were compared before and after treatment(P < 0.05).The difference was statistically significant.3.In the two groups of patients with oral medication and subcutaneous insulin, the SI,FPG and Hb A1 c after treatment(P < 0.05),the difference was statistically significant.4.The SI value of the two groups of patients was 18.79±2.29umol/l in the oral drug group and 20.56±1.40umol/l in the subcutaneous insulin group, suggesting that the treatment data was compared between the two groups in the SI level. In contrast, oral drugs are superior to subcutaneous insulin injections.5.The levels of FPG and Hb A1 c in the two groups were 6.78±0.92mmol/l and 7.30±1.30% in the oral drug group, and 5.80±0.9mmol/l and 6.48±1.5% in the subcutaneous insulin group, respectively. It is suggested that the subcutaneous insulin group is superior to the oral drug group in the comparison of FPG and Hb A1 c levels in the two groups. Conclusion 1.For patients with newly diagnosed T2 DM,oral drug metformin or intensive insulin therapy can significantly reduce serum iron, fasting blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin levels.2.The oral drug metformin is superior to intensive insulin therapy in reducing serum iron capacity.3.Intensive insulin therapy is superior to the oral drug metformin from the hypoglycemic effect.
