ERP Research Under Mental Arithmetic And Guessing Person’s Name Model

The event-related potential in the brain electricity reflects the changes of the neuro electrophysiology in the cognitive process in different states of the brain.It is of great reference to the evaluation of whether the cognitive function of the individual is normal or not.The mental calculation reflects the cognitive process of the brain,and the deep study is helpful to further understand the activity state of the brain.The study of guessing person’s name is helpful to the research and development of the application of the brain science.In this paper,an attempt is made on the basis of the traditional experimental paradigm,and two experimental models are put forward.This paper studies from the following parts.1)pattern design.Two experimental models are proposed: error correction of mental arithmetic mode and guessing person’s name mode.The first is to study the difference between the two types of brain waves by using the right and wrong types of arithmetic as evoked stimuli.According to the observed latency and amplitude of cognitive potential,we can analyze the process of mental arithmetic activity of the subjects.The second is to use two kinds of stimuli,real name and strange name,to detect the evoked EEG shape features,and to classify the EEG signals stimulated by the two kinds of names by pattern recognition algorithm.It can be used in the field of criminal investigation and lie detection and related psychological application research.The upper computer acquisition programs of the two experimental modes are developed on the windows7 platform using vc programming language.2)experiment and analysis.The EEG signals of 10 subjects were collected in the error correction of mental arithmetic experiment.It was found that in some of the subjects at 1500 ms after two kinds of stimuli,the negative waves with more obvious characteristics were induced by the wrong questions,and a few of the subjects observed the N400 under the stimulation of the wrong questions.The guessing person’s name experiment collected EEG data of 10 subjects,extracted low-frequency EEG signals from layer 4 by wavelet transform,and found that there was a significant positive wave peak in the 300-600 ms after the real name stimulation appeared,compared with the unknown name stimulation.The amplitude is more prominent.3)off-line and on-line research of classification.The EEG data of the Oz channel is denoised by the wavelet,then the average of the six test times is carried out.The classification of the EEG data induced by the two kinds of names is carried out by using the algorithm of support vector machine,and the accuracy of the average classification is 98%.The classification accuracy of PO3,Oz,P8,and PO4 channels can be up to 90% after the average of five test times.After the study of off-line classification algorithm,an on-line classification system for guessing names was developed with the aid of the libsvm pattern recognition and open source project.And the data processing result of the on-line classification system is consistent with the off-line classification result.In this paper,the traditional experimental paradigm is extended,the error correction of mental arithmetic and guessing person’s name experimental model are explored,and the off-line and on-line classification is realized for the successful realization of the pattern of guessing person’s name,and the new ideas and directions are provided for the application of event-related potential research.
