Magnetic Resonance Imaging(MRI)is one of the most important imaging methods for clinical medicine,providing a variety of information about the structure and function of the human body through different imaging sequences and parameters without radiation damage.The reason why MRI can provide different and rich information is that MRI can use a variety of pulse sequences and parameter combinations for imaging.Correspondingly,the data collected by different imaging sequences also require different data processing pipeline containing image reconstruction,post-processing and visualization methods.The usual way to study the algorithms in the pipeline above is to copy raw data from the MRI system and then study it offline.In this paper,online MRI image reconstruction and post-processing were studied,that is,in the process of scanning by the magnetic resonance imaging system,the original data collected was transmitted from MRI system to an external personal computer(PC)in real time,and the reconstructed image was transmitted back to the MRI system in real time.Real-time online reconstruction,on one hand,makes real-time imaging applications such as magnetic resonance movies possible;on the other hand,partial data collection and reconstructed images can also be used to obtain the optimal data collection conditions,which can be fed back into the MRI system to optimize the data collection process.This paper uses TCP/IP network to realize the real-time online reconstruction on Siemens MRI system,including the following:(1)Based on the independently developed YAP reconstruction framework,a data simulation client program and an image reconstruction server program are developed,and the real-time online MRI reconstruction is simulated with software,which helps algorithm researchers to study real-time reconstruction algorithm in simulation.(2)The data communication program based on Siemens ICE framework and the external reconstruction server program based on YAP framework are developed.The data in the Siemens built in pipeline is transmitted to the external computer for online image reconstruction,and finally the reconstructed image is transmitted back to the MRI system.This real-time online reconstruction method is convenient for algorithm researchers to integrate more different MRI reconstruction algorithms into the existing commercial MRI system.
