Objective:Degenerative arthritis of the knee can affect any compartment in the medial, lateral and patellofemoral compartments of the knee joint. One third of the patients with knee arthritis have only one compartment in the early stage, which is called single compartment osteoarthritis of the knee joint. Its occurrence is the result of the combined action of environmental and genetic factors.Pathogenic environmental factors include exercise, injury, obesity and osteoporosis, among which osteoporosis has a greater impact on the treatment of osteoarthritis. In order to explore whether the occurrence of osteoarthritis of knee joint is related to osteoporosis and what kind of association,in order to better guide the treatment, rehabilitation and prevention and health care of osteoarthritis of knee joint,we hereby conduct a clinical study. Methods:The patients aged 50-80 years old and BMI 18.5 kg/m~2-38 kg/m~2 were selected from the outpatient clinic of joint surgery of Yuhuangding Hospital of Yantai.Endocrine, pregnancy, lactation, nutritional protein deficiency, hereditary osteogenesis imperfect chromosome abnormality, liver disease, kidney disease, medication, disuse and gastrointestinal sex were excluded.Secondary factors such as osteoporosis and age-matched non-knee single-compartment osteoarthritis control healthy people(76patients with knee single-compartment osteoarthritis and 42 patients with non-knee single-compartment osteoarthritis)were asked to record sex, age, occupation, past history, personal history, menstrual marriage and childbearing history, family history, etc. The body mass index and bone mineral density of the knees were calculated, and the weight-bearing X-ray films of the knees were taken.According to the patient’s symptoms,weight-bearing X-ray films of both knees and bone mineral density values,i.e.whether there are clinical positive symptoms of knee osteoarthritis, whether the Kellgren-Lawrence grade is 2 or more, whether the T value is less than-2.5 or not,to determine whether the patient has osteoarthritis and osteoporosis of the knee joint, whether there is osteoarthritis of the knee joint and whether there is osteoporosis of the knee joint.Variable correlation analysis was carried out to calculate the correlation coefficient and determine the correlation degree,so as to reveal the relationship between the incidence, progress, prognosis and osteoporosis of single-compartment osteoarthritis of the knee joint, and provide new inspiration, new ideas and new methods for clinical work of single-compartment osteoarthritis of the knee joint,so as to make the majority of patients with single-compartment osteoarthritis of the knee joint obtain better preventive, therapeutic and prognostic effects To improve the quality of work and life and to achieve good social benefits. Results:The correlation coefficient r=0.347 between the occurrence of osteoarthritis of knee joint and osteoporosis proved that there was a correlation between them. The patients with osteoarthritis of knee joint had a lower risk of osteoporosis when their body mass index was higher, and the patients with osteoarthritis of knee joint had a higher risk of osteoporosis when their body mass index was lower. Conclusion:BMI is positively correlated with BMD.The correlation coefficient between osteoarthritis and osteoporosis of knee joint is larger, and the incidence of osteoporosis is higher.Osteoporosis is indeed one of the environmental pathogenic factors of osteoarthritis of knee joint. |
