Confirmatory tests is of vital importance in diagnosing primary aldosteronism(PA).The guideline does not explicitly recommend which tests are most optimal, and the classic confirmatory tests that are commonly used in clinical practice still have shortcomings and need to be further improved.Modified or other new confirmatory tests have been proposed from some studies, for instance, seated saline suppression test(SSST),losarton suppression test, furosemide upright test(FUT),ACTH stimulation test/cosyntropin stimulation test(AST/ C-ST,fludrocortisone–dexamethasone suppression test(FDST),dexamethasone-captoprilvalsartan test(DCVT)and so on.We aim to elucidate the progress in these new tests in this review.
