Objective:Both ACDF and ACCF are common treatment of mCSM;However, for mCSM,which procedure is the better treatment is still quite controversial.A meta-analysis was performed to provide evidence in this question, which compare the clinical prognosis, radiographic outcomes and surgical complication between ACDF and ACCF as the surgical treatment of mCSM.Methods: Extensive search of paper was performed on Pubmed/MEDLINE,Embase,the Cochrane library,CNKI,and WANFANG databases using ACDF versus ACCF treatment for mCSM as key words, from January 2011 to September 2018.Data analysis was conducted with RevMan 5.3 and STATA 12.0.Results: The meta-analysis contains 8 studies which include 878 patients. The results of meta-analysis indicated that ACDF is superior to ACCF in the angle of C2 to C7 at the final follow-up,C5 plasy, blood loss, fusion rate, graft subsidence, and total complications. However, there are no significant differences in length of hospital stay, operation time,JOA scores,NDI scores, preoperative angle of C2 to C7,dysphagia,hoarseness and pseudoarthrosis. Conclusions: The results of our meta-analysis shows that both ACDF and ACCF are good plans in clinical outcomes;however,ACDF is a better choice in radiographic outcomes and total complications for the treatment of multilevel CSM...
