Objective: With the increase of social communication and the change of lifestyle, drinking has become a common phenomenon in life.Alcohol causes serious problems to human health.Liver is the primary organ damaged by alcohol. The prevalence of alcoholic liver disease(ALD)is increasing. However, there is no specific treatment for this disease which threatens public health, although it has been fully recognized.Alcohol can also cause skeletal muscle damage, leading to rhabdomyolysis(RM),and this clinical emergency prone to acute renal failure(ARF),resulting in increased difficulty in treatment and adverse outcomes,Clinicians need to diagnose as soon as possible and treat it in a timely manner. This article describes the early identification, accurate diagnosis and effective treatment of a patient with alcoholic liver disease complicated with rhabdomyolysis and acute renal failure,in order to enhance the overall understanding of alcohol-related liver damage and skeletal muscle damage and provide successful experience in diagnosis and treatment.Method: A case of alcoholic liver disease with rhabdomyolysis and acute renal failure in the Second Infection Department of the Third Hospital of Hebei Medical University was selected. The pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, auxiliary examinations, diagnostic basis and treatment plan of alcoholic liver disease, alcoholic rhabdomyolysis and alcoholic myopathy were analyzed in combination with relevant literature at home and abroad. Results: The patient had a history of alcoholic liver disease for 6 years. The symptoms of rhabdomyolysis with limb weakness and pain appeared 3 days before admission. On the second day of admission, the patient presented with oliguria and acute renal failure. After comprehensive treatment such as blood purification, symptomatic support and organ function maintenance, the symptoms disappeared, biochemical indicators returned to normal and the prognosis was good. Conclusion: On the basis of alcoholic liver disease,alcohol-related skeletal muscle damage is at high risk.Rhabdomyolysis is progressing rapidly.Acute renal failure complicating alcoholic liver disease makes treatment more urgent and difficult.Clinicians need to make early diagnosis and formulate effective treatment strategies.
