| Objectives: This study was to evaluate the feasibility, accuracy and reproducibility of the Dual gate Doppler(DD)method for measuring fetal E/e’ with right ventricular outflow tract obstruction and to study the change of right ventricular diastolic function under this condition. Methods: This prospective study comprised a experimental group of 30 fetus with right ventricular outflow track obstruction and a control group of 30 normal fetus. To calculate fetal E/e’,the apical or basal 4-chamber view was demon-strated.E/e’ were measured simultaneously according to the DD method and conventional methods.Furthermore,we measured again by the same operator and another operator, and statistical analysis was performed.Results:1.Systematic bias was not seen in E/e’ between the DD method and conventional method by Bland-Altman analysis.2.The repeatability of DD method is better than the conventional method.Intra-observer ICC and inter-observer ICC for E/e’ of the experimental group by the DD method were 0.989 and 0.986;Intra-observer ICC and inter-observer ICC for E/e’ of the experimental group by the conventional method were 0.970 and 0.962;Intra-observer ICC and inter-observer ICC for E/e’ of the control grape by the DD method were 0.978 and 0.973;Intra-observer ICC and inter-observer ICC for E/e’ of the control grape by the conventional method were 0.967 and 0.954;3.There was a statistically significant difference in E/e’ between the experimental group and the control group,E/e’ of the experimental group was higher than the control group.Conclusions:1.The accuracy and repeatability of DD method is better than the conventional method for assessment of diastolic function in both the normal fetus and fetus with right ventricular outflow track obstruction. The DD method is a new method to study ventricular diastolic function of fetus with right ventricular outflow track obstruction in the prenatal period, and it can effectively improve the accuracy of evaluating fetal heart function in the meanwhile.2.Fetus with right ventricular outflow track obstruction were usually observed that right ventricular diastolic function decreased. |
