A Meta Analysis Of The Diagnostic Significance Of Fecal Calprotectin On The Development Of Ulcerative Colitis

Objective:To assess the diagnostic significance of fecal calprotectin on the development of ulcerative colitis through a meta-analysis.Methods:Two researchers searched the following databases individually: CNKI,Embase,PubMed and Wanfang,the deadline for searching documents is 31 December 2018,the documents were searched with the theme words of fecal calprotectin to assess the development of ulcerative colitis.Two researchers collected the data and gave a conclusion through reading documents,concluding alse-positive(FP),falseneg-ative(FN),ture-positive(TP)and ture-negative(TN).Data analysis was performed using Stata and Meta-disc software.Results:According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,13 articles were included in the meta-analysis,10 foreign articles,3 domestic articles.Statistical analysis of the significance of FC in the diagnosis of UC disease activity showed that the sensitivity was0.86(0.83-0.89),the specificity was 0.83(0.79-0.86),and the diagnostic odds ratio was25.91(16.37-41.03).The area under the summary receiver operator characteristic curve(SROC)is 0.9058.The results showed that FC has an evaluation value in the diagnosis of UC disease activity.Therefore,it is speculated that FC can be used as an effective evaluation index in judging UC disease activity.Conclusion:FC can be used as a repeatable,stable,simple,non-invasive and effective evaluation indicator to judge UC disease activity.
