Objective:To study the changes of serum cystatin C(CysC)and hypersensitive C-reactive protein(hsCRP)levels in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)and their relationship with COPD Comprehensive assessment,Improved British Medical Research Council Respiratory Questionnaire(mMRC)and lung function indicators. Methods:A total of 129 patients who met the COPD diagnostic criteria in the Department of Respiratory Medicine of the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Inner Mongolia Medical University from January 2018 to January 2019 were enrolled as the case group, while 30 healthy subjects were collected as the control group.According to the guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(revised edition 2013),the case components were group A,group B,group C and group D based on the comprehensive evaluation method. At the same time, general data, serum CysC,hsCRP concentration,1st forced expiratory volume as a percentage of predicted value(FEV1%pred),and 1st forced expiratory volume occupancy lung capacity percentage(FEV1/FVC)of all samples were collected as well as mMRC fractionation of case group. Results:The results of statistical analysis were as follows:(1)There was no significant difference in normal information between the control group and the case group(P>0.05).(2)There was significant difference in serum CysC concentration between the case group and the control group(P<0.01).After comparing each two groups, the control group and the group A and group D were different from the other groups. There was no difference between the group B and the group C.(3)The difference of blood hsCRP concentration between the case group and the control group was statistically significant(P<0.01).After comparing each two groups, the control group, group C and group D were different from other groups, while group A and group B have no difference.(4)There was a positive correlation between serum CysC and COPD comprehensive assessment in patients(r=0.638,P<0.01),and CysC was positively correlated with mMRC grade(r=0.631,P<0.01).There was a positive correlation between blood hsCRP and COPD comprehensive assessment in patients(r=0.804,P<0.01).hsCRP was positively correlated with mMRC grade(r=0.780,P<0.01).(5)mMRC grade was negatively correlated with FEV1%pred in patients with COPD(r=-0.805,P<0.01),mMRC grade was negatively correlated with FEV1/FVC in patients with COPD(r=-0.758,P<0.01).(6)There was no correlation between serum CysC、hsCRP and FEV1%pred、FEV1/FVC in the control group(P>0.05).Serum CysC、hsCRP was negatively correlated with FEV1%pred、FEV1/FVC in COPD patients(P<0.01).Conclusion:Serum CysC and hsCRP levels have value in judging the risk of acute exacerbation of COPD and the degree of airflow limitation.
